In this video Craig Phillips shows you step by step how to build a DIY modern pergola! Ideal for entertaining friends and family, or just for you to enjoy!
This surprisingly simple design includes two solid sides cladded to provide shelter, 1 louvre paneled side, solid waterproof roof and tongue and groove flooring.
It’s the perfect structure for creating a sheltered spot in the back yard, elevate a garden terrace, or make a section of your decking/patio more versatile and weatherproof!

@@SilverlineToolsTV im either gonna build my own or a pre-made one i just gather. I prefer to make my own to make my own small changes =) thats why i watch videos like yours. to gather information, tips n tricks and so on :)

I only don't understand why the beautiful stone needed to be covered by cheap floor and destroyed with anchors.

It was the families choice, they had a lot of stone around there back garden area and wanted something more softer and warmer to sit around while dinning outside. we thing its adds to the over all design and finished look of the structure. appreciate its not everyone taste

lol hardly nothing on that liquid rubber roof, obviously a nightmare, looked like it was bringing all the tape back up 😂

The liquid roof wasn't a nightmare at all, it was easy to apply and worked really well, we had to roof covered and water tight within one hour, once it dried we went back and applied 3 further coats then it looked great. we had some areal video shots but they wasn't used in the edit.

Seriously !! I like DIY, but even I don't have all those tools required lmao. Sometimes, whoever makes these videos needs to thing about their audience......who the hell has all those tools??? DIY - Do It Yourself, not AFPE A Fucking Professional Expert!!

Sorry you feel that way, We do try. Most tools shown in the video will have a hand tool equivalent. Mitre saw > Hand saw. Compressor & Nail Gun > Hammer. This build can absolutely be done with DIY tools, it'll just take longer.
