Watch this guy build a pond on his backyard. It turns out that building a decorative pond in a suburban area is not so difficult. You can plant plants in the pond, fill the pond with water and settle fish.
This activity is performed by actors in a controlled environment. Please use caution if you plan to replicate.

One big flaw in your demo video. You traced around the outside perimeter and then cut along the line. If you actually did this, the pool would fall through the hole. Why didn’t you show that you actually cut about 2 inches inside the line.?? Poor demonstration. Cute idea but not a good design in reality. It won’t last.

You marked the pond upside down on the upper side of your deck, you marked the outline of the pond. ... How many times did you buy the wood for your pond deck? 2 times or 3 times? ;-) Did you at least get your money back through this video? Cute idea, however that raw tongue and groove wood directly on the ground is going to rot very quickly. Why wasn't there some kind of underlayment put underneath to protect the wood?

Love the change in pen when marking the wood. The first mark in black would have failed as the pond would have gone though the wood base.

Why didn’t you show us how you dug the correct shape for the pond in the ground and the depth correctly. I have a liner that is shallow and deep at either end but I can’t get it right

Does not make sense you traced the outside of the molded pond and then you cut out the line you traced it would’ve fell through the opening? The cut out in the boards should’ve been approximately 3 inches smaller than the traced line. The tongue and groove boards I look about 3/4 of an inch thick how are they being held together after you did the cut out?
