This is a great video, and I am in the middle of building 2 of them. A few things I wanted to point out though: - 24 braces, not 28. (8 corners, 3 braces each). - If anyone is wondering how many 2×2's to get I had to order 24, 2"×2"× 8-foot boards (I only used 20). I ordered a few extra, because with quarantine, I didn't want to wait 3-weeks for additional materials, if I needed more. It was a good thing, because the wood kept splitting, and I had to cut a new board and switch to pre-drilling my screw holes. - To cut the tin roofing, get a diamond blade for a handheld miter saw. - Get a star bit for your drill and use exterior grade, self-drilling star head decking screws (I didn't have them in the right length, and had do use non-self-drilling, philips head screws, Hence the splitting, and annoying drill slipping out of the screw...).

I love rabbits so much that I'd find it impossible to raise them for food.. I appreciate others can, but I don't know how. They are too damn cute

I keep them for making manure for all my raised garden beds. I can't kill them either :D

Hey there neighbor! One tip I didn't put in the video: make sure to put wire on the bottom! They will dig, maybe not at first but eventually they will and then you've got loose rabbits! I've caught more than I can count. So finally a few weeks ago we put some 2x4 wire on the bottom and this allows them access to fresh grass without having to worry about tunneling.

Im making a similar cage but I using plastic corrugated roofing from Lowe's. I don't like the idea of metal roof with kids around having sharp edges about head height. Heard a story once of a kid that ran into a piece of metal once and bled to death in minutes.

Great build! Now that you've been using it a while, would you change anything? It looks pretty nice! But I wasn't sure if maybe you might need something sturdier than 2x2s, although with the amount of bracing it probably makes up for it!

The 2x2s work well, it’s very sturdy. The one thing we would change is putting some kind of fencing on the bottom, at least around the edges. They can tunnel overnight if they’re motivated.

Perfect, thank you! Yeah I plan on putting wire on the whole bottom as well, just to make sure. I'm glad to know the 2x2s work, now I can build mine in time for my next litter to go out!

Putting wire across the entire bottom defeats the purpose of the tractor. Rabbits go in there for daytime play not overnight sleeps.
