Just got my own Hal Taylor plans , underway building fixtures, Looking good!!

I’m curious how your progress is going. I started cutting out pieces and making fixtures but I find the plans confusing overall compared to wood whisperer or Paul Sellers type of instruction. I bought the HT plans because I liked the design and that there were three sizes of chairs, compared to one-size-fits-all for the other plans.

@@nathanduitch2521 I finished my first chair in August, the plans are really good and Hal shares the common problems throughout the build with great solutions, I really admire what he has accomplished ,a design that stands on it's own, and his ability to effectively share this. I was always enthused to work on the chair, it has charisma energy that emerges as it unfolds. Good luck !

Really good, just finished mine as well! Looking at some of your techniques, I can surely improve on some of my approaches ;). BTW, I significantly reduced the thickness of the arm rest, I think it better fits the overall elegance of the chair. Anyways, really great work!

Nice chairs. All that equipment looks expensive though.

Super nice work, I got my plans from Taylor, I'm looking forward to find some times and start with mine. How long did you take to prepare and build a chair?
@joshdiatte502 жыл бұрын
Took about 85 hours! Over 6 months. Good luck. Hope it’s looking good

Where Did you get the templates from?

Hello! Got the templates from Hal Taylor. Also recommend getting the virtual “how to” manual he recently created with hit. He has a step by step process with videos for each step! www.rockingchairuniversity.com/plans.html
