Stay tuned for the next video because I'll be sharing how I added fencing and gates around these to create an enclosed garden! This project turned out even better than I expected and I'm excited to be sharing it with you!

Great project. I don’t really have any intent to build a garden. But I like watching how these things come together. You never know what you are going to learn. Thanks for sharing. I can’t wait for the rest.

Very nice! Good job! At 72 years old I'm getting ready to build my third and probably last arbor. I've always used treated wood and this time I'm going to use l brackets to fasten everything together. I don't have a pocket jig and don't need one if I just use a lot of different size l brackets. Makes it much easier for me. I'm so happy to see a young woman learning to build things for herself as I did myself many years ago and still building! By the way you have a very nice clean and well equipped shop!

That is a simple, but very nice design. Everyone else that I have seen build one takes it to extreme. Half laps, dados, mortises, and scalloped arches really isn't needed. Looks good, can't wait for the next weeks video to do the garden beds. 👍

I have to say that your channel is one of my favorites although I don't always make a comment. I have bought some of your plans although life gets in the way and they are on hold for now. What attracted me to this was the arbour. I have two gates leading out of my yard and several years ago built two arbours out of regular lumber, primed and painted them both and updated the paint a few times. Sadly they have both seen better days and I will replace them in the next couple of weeks. This was exactly what I needed, something simple that I can make decorative. I won't need the plans but there will be others that I will buy and build. As I do I hope you won't mind me sending you a photo of my feeble attempt at replicating your awesome work. Have a happy memorial day !

Shara, a friend of ours built an arbor as a backdrop for our outdoor wedding. We kept that for a long time. Your video brings thoughts of some really good times. I can't wait to see the next video as I could use all the inspiration I can get for our garden area. I finished my loft this week so I'm closer to getting to and enjoying those outdoor projects we dreamed about all winter. I see plenty of sawdust in the near future. The outdoor weather has been beautiful here! Give Lucy and Bubby plenty of pets and hugs! Thanks for Sharing!

Wedding arbors are such a great piece to hang on to and use throughout the years. It sounds like you're about to be busy building all kinds of things. I hope you enjoy your summer of building and stay as cool (although that might be a challenge!). It's really getting warm here, but I have plenty more outdoor projects to go so it'll be a sweat and sawdust kind of summer around here I think 😂🙈 I hope you have a wonderful weekend and I appreciate you watching!

Well done. These form a great anchor for the whole project. I like the little detailing around the top; it gives it just that little "extra" visual appeal. Looking forward to the completion of the project. Gotta say, though, unless you start a new channel called something like "Shara's Green Thumb Channel," having the best-looking arbors and raised beds won't help me with my uncanny ability to convert perfectly healthy plants into next year's mulch. Heck, my wife won't even let me water the philodendron.
@WoodshopDiaries
@WoodshopDiaries Жыл бұрын
Your comment cracked me up! For what it's worth, I'm not much of a gardener either--Danny takes care of most of the planting. I just water things on occasion and pick the tomatoes 😂 So I don't plan on starting a gardening channel anytime soon! I'm just the builder...and I plan to stay that way haha. I hope you have a great weekend and I really appreciate you watching!

Sooo, I was cracking up so many times in this video that I actually had to keep track! Starting with the 4x4 counter, where you let it go all the way up to FOUR!!! Then while enjoying the Vanna White presentation, I couldn’t help but to feel sorry for that hair tie, desperately clinging to your wrist after having been used too often in your Rapunzel inspired hair do! And finally (or at least where I’m deciding to end the list!), for you being my favorite YT engineer, I loved the “whatever” way of trying to get the pieces attached evenly and in square! Now you are working more like me, instead of the other way around. Oh, and let me not forget to bring up the double “overall” at around 6:20…!😂😂😂 Hope this made you smile some Shara. That is one of the things I like best about you, your videos, and your channel…that you have a good sense of humor, and don’t mind letting us see you riding on the struggle bus. (Quite Often!). Well, that and the fact that us redheads have to stick together! They say we have no soul, but I say we’re making a comeback!! Seriously though, I can’t wait for you to share the rest of the garden build as well, I hope it’s no too long of a wait, and I really do like these arbors. And not just that, I love how easily you break it down so that almost anyone could recreate them. Hope you had a great weekend, and have fun with the rest of the project. That’s why we love you anyway…you’re real. 😊

I just realized I didn’t respond to this comment (book! Haha). I’m so sorry!! I literally laughed out loud reading this 🤣🤣 you are so very observant and hysterical. You also make me feel such pity for my hair tie desperately clinging to my wrist 🤣 but I will not apologize for my “whatever” attitude when it comes to building things 😉 what works…works aha! I truly appreciate your insightful and very thoughtful comments and your attention to detail and humor. Thank you for following along and bringing some joy to the comment section. I hope you get as much enjoyment from the videos as I do these comments haha. Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi, yes, in the video I just posted: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ppuiYJSgmce4m6M.html I built a fence around these arbors and I explained that I’ll be applying finish to the entire thing at once when the wood dries enough to accept a stain.
