Very good information. I use this all the time. Just wish you would have talked about the anchoring systems more to include "Dead Man's" anchore (my preferred method). Very good on the drainage issue

I don't see the requirement of having lower wall have more height than upper (behind) wall anywhere else other than this video.

would be a lot nicer if this spoke of specific materials

Does "H" include that portion of the wall that is underground?

It's unclear what the grid-like reinforcing materials are, or how deep/long they should run.
@AllAccessConstruction3 жыл бұрын
It's called geo grid. For most block walls they go back 4 to 6 feet.

Exactly, are they metal like wire fencing or more like rebar or??

iam using 4x6s treated and going to anchor it and 3/4 angled stone for draining with filter screen on top that 4 inch draining tubes also not hard but definitely time consuming.

Is it necessary to know the existing ground level to design an anchor wall when you already have a road and platform level? This is my first time doing geotechnical work, so I’m a little confuse and full of hesitations 😰

Good lord...so I should excavate a small continent to put some sort of reinforcement grid in for the wall? I may as well just let nature do its thing and forget the wall.

Or build the first wall taller
