You are the only folks I've seen documenting slip-forming walls with aircrete. A small cylindrical casting such as you have done here is exactly what I have in mind as an insulating core for a more substantial wall. Thanks for showing it is possible.

Thank you Richard! I am looking for ways to bring more value. Most people think it's the "how to" information that is needed. However, what I see is people are getting stuck on all the details, the beleifs in their skills, and lack of skills to complete their structures. Things like electric and finish work. So, to that end I am going to start doing a yearly building school to take people through an entire build from ground to ready to move in. It starts this year in October at Terlingua. Next year it will be a month long school to include skills like planing, logistics, hiring and training unskilled labor, when & why to fire people, and ever skill to actually build and finish a tiny house. Skills that can be used to build any size or type of structure. tinygiantlife.biz/terlinguaworkshop/ Have a great day!

This material is what homeless pods should be made out of. Some corporate factory could pump these things out by the thousands for way cheaper and way faster. Any government wanting to help provide individualized shelter for their homeless population would be stupid not to look to this material.

Hello thanks for the video! I was wondering if i use say cut up old tshirts or long bed sheets and dip them in concrete mix and put it over pallet shed i am building…will it adhere to the pallet? Or what do you recommend on how i can go about doing that? I am building a shed with all wood pallets so app my walls has 2 pallets stacked from floor to top and will do it like that all around. So i was thinking instead of getting wood panel boards i can maybe turn pallet wall into concrete wall. Thanks in advance!

Hello how do you join the aircrete as you go up higher??? Is there mortar or rebar or do you just pour aircrete onto the dried aircrete??

Potential water pooling in roof from condensation, depending on weather. I can see gaps in the metal roof, even if no gaps, moisture can still pass through the concrete+fabric. Maybe next time put additional roofing moisture barrier just underneath the metal roof. and some drainage drip holes. love your basic design, much easier to build then giadome not to mention stronger too. I would change the door into a normal rectangle door as its easier to build but keep the arch on top. Also maybe also pour aircrete into that rectangle box roof area, better insulation too. with additional to roof membrane then iron roof.

Use a 120 psi pump with a 1.2 gallon per minute pump rate. Air pressure is irrelevant just adjust until foam weighs 95 grams per liter.

I am planning to build a pole barn house and use aircrete as the fill between the poles. I could use bricks made our of aircrete to do this but I was thinking to pour in place walls or I could pour the walls flat and stand them up after they have cured. since I do not need these walls to be weight supporting I was thinking I could make an aircrete that was less dense and more insulative. what is the upper most lightness I could go and still have a rigid enough wall that will hold in place and be able to put windows and doors into. I could make the panels that hold windows and doors denser. I also want to pour aircrete panels for the ceiling to create an insulative barrier for sound etc. can you give me a few tips about density for the different areas of the walls given the fact that the poles are bearing the weight and I can put the doors windows next to the poles so they will bear the weight of them and not have to worry about the aircrete walls doing it. looking forward to hearing from you.

Yeah pole barn style house definitely does not have to have strong aircrete. Wind can be framed and bonded to the surface with stucco lath.

Of course it can. Having built with bricks I assure you it's less work to cast the structure. It also prevents thermal bridging of mortar.

Not that it’s needed in this case, but whenever I use foam board ( like in the door ) I paint it and press window screen into the wet paint ( do both sides ) - when dry it’s WAY stronger.

Why didn't you just top off the dome? Wouldn't that have been easier than building a custom flat roof?
@TinyGiantLifeStyle

Time constraints. It had to be finished before a guest arrived. It's definitely faster than a dome top. I originally intended to put a dome on top.

The problem is finding the land to build it on. Good luck finding someone who will let you build this on their property and these days HOAs and other criminal organizations will give you a bunch of crap about building something like this in a residential zone or suburb. While I pay no attention to the clowns who run HOAs and have made it very clear that if they come near my property I will treat them as I would any other intruder most people just assume they have the right to dictate to others what they can and cannot do with their money.
