Hey quick question do you have eny tips on making a smoother paper mache to make a helmet look more realistic?
@MarksWorkshopcrft25 күн бұрын
Yes, the armature underneath should be smooth as possible and then use a little bit of extra water compared to the flour ratio if you want less viscous mixture but if you want more viscosity, add more flour, sometimes the more watery mixture sit better on finer services is what I discovered
@Jimijamcrafting5 ай бұрын
Awesome this is definitely one of your greatest builds!😁 using paper mache to make this was definitely a good idea

does it need some space between the visor hinge and the helmet itself?
@MarksWorkshopcrftАй бұрын
It is basically just cardboard on cardboard if that helps answer your question just a little bit of space helps like an eighth of an inch

I make helmets like yours a lot, the problem I have is they always are flimsy and lop sided, any tips?
@MarksWorkshopcrft5 ай бұрын
If it is the visor that is flimsy, make it lighter if it is the helmet portion that is flimsy, try using papier-mâché and make sure to shine a flashlight through the dry papier-mâché to see where it needs extra layers to strengthen it

@@MarksWorkshopcrftThanks, I will definitely try that 🙏🙏

Also how do you get your cardboard because currently my plan is to just ask the craft store employees for all of there extra cardboard
@MarksWorkshopcrft5 ай бұрын
@@celestialinfinity well I usually just save everything like every box I get and ask friends and family to not throw it away give it to me first. Or your could do that too!
@celestialinfinity5 ай бұрын

IT can be! If I were jousting with it, I’d add an extra piece of exterior neck armor, which knights used to do over the neck area

bro i found a way to make armour look realistic. exp sword duct tape the area you want steel on. then just use silver spray paint on the duct tape and it looks real. i have a video on how it looks like btw.
