If you try to 'figure it all out before you start' you'll never start, because there are just some things that 'pop up along the way' you'll have to deal with... Hi Miles, Great video. I was researching funnels for a long time and your video is super helpful. Keep it up! Do you have any videos on 1. What happens after someone opts in? (E.g. a warm up sequence, then giving away more content, then asking someone to buy with promotion?) So you would be cycling through multiple product launches with this massive list. 2. For paid advertising, I assume you are going to be using facebook ad? Do you have any tips on how to make effective facebook ads?

Thanks for the comments.... Facebook Ads are my go-to with paid traffic for my niche. I've been getting videos out about the FB PPC platform/components for a bit, but not comprehensive yet. Will setup a playlist soon to organize it better on the channel. Definitely will cover the opt-in sequence ideas and how to nurture subscribers more, too! Thanks for the topic suggestion!

+Andrey Seas I think it is more about finding a passion of yours or something you are good at and can help others with... Then focusing on being of service to them... Find the products that solve their problems and recommend them. Whether they are on Clickbank, linkshare, avantlink, shareasale, etc. For new people, being an affiliate for ClickFunnels is not a value add for anyone... Just an MLM at that point.

Miles, thanks. Your content is amazing. I am a fan, and love how you always use audience insights for Tony Robbins (I like Tony as well). I've had a question for a long time, perhaps you'll be able to answer or point out resources to learn the answer. Why 2 pages before the report instead of just 1? It seems like an unnecessary step - and god forbid extraneous steps in sales funnels! Currently they go to optin page and then to a video page with yourself AND THEN to the product page. Why not just condense the optin page with the video page? By condensing 2 pages into 1 (and putting intro video along with optin) seems like there would less fallout from the funnel.

Page 1 - Offer the report Page 2 - Offer them something to buy (this recoups my ad spend) Page 3/Email 1 - Give them the free thing. Without page 2 I am cashflow negative and I don't like being cashflow negative. When page 2 is dialed correctly my ad spend is essentially free or profitable.

If you were to promote a clickbank product, you would definitely need a clickbank account as an affiliate. My wife has one and we do promote one CB product... But we promote products in other networks, too... Mindvalley, Impact Radius, Linkshare... In the past have promoted products from Avantlink, Share-a-sale, Commission junction, etc... Plus some companies/products run their own in-house affiliate programs. So really, find the affiliate network (clickbank is a network, so are all the ones mentioned above) that has products which match the needs/desires of your target market... Sign up with them and get your links!

Fanpage is required and best to have the fanpage match the 'brand'... Need a few posts on the fanpage, but really not much content. I prefer content marketing and keyword research, put paid can work if you have deep pockets....

Glad you liked it... Although I have used both for a year or more, each... I have not used Leadpages since 2015 or so... Add grain of salt here. If you are promoting affiliate offers only, Leadpages and Clickfunnels are pretty much the same thing. Clickfunnels is a bit more customizable, but that can also be a distraction. Landing page -> Thank you (bridge) page is the 'key' and either system can do that. If you are going to be or already are selling info products on your own, Clickfunnels has a shopping cart added on. So that is the big bump in favor for them... But irrelevant if you are an affiliate. I have not used confusionsoft in my business and will never consider it.... Ever. Crazy complex, overpriced and quite possibly the most confusing and challenging to use system ever made. With that said, I have friends who use it and love it... But most of my friends who use it have not idea how to get it going right. I have just started using Active Campaign as my email list management system and their ActiveMember360 plugin which gives me a lot of the functionality of tagging, automation, segmentation that confusionsoft offers... Note... I've been selling info products, physical products and affiliate products for like 8 years quite successfully and just this past month stepped up to this level of a system... Did I leave money on the table in the past? Sure... But, I kept focused on putting out new funnels and content, testing messaging and really growing my audience FIRST before adding on ridiculous amounts of fancy technology.

Great video Miles. Love your directness and "to the point" delivery of information. Other than coaching or one-on-one consulting how else would one profit from the list built with this affiliate method? To me it goes back to coaching if profit is going to be made. The only other option is selling them a series of books but so much of this information about diabetes is available for free. Looks like writing fiction books might be a better model because it uniquely written and entertainment. What do you think about that?

Glad you're still enjoying the content Martin! For someone who builds a list based on affiliate funnel, honestly the best way to keep making money without list is more affiliate offers! This could be a similar product from a different vendor this could be a complementary product that helps them with their next problem this could be physical products off of Amazon or eBay, etc. there are and the people who make a very good full-time living… I'm talking six and seven figure per year earners, who only do affiliate products. With that said, my brain goes to creating information products for these people is the next best move. If you're making 50% as an affiliate promoting a how-to course… And have data that shows people are indeed purchasing that product , you can create your own how-to course to replace that, you can earn 95 to 98% margins from selling your own course. Personally I steer away from consulting and coaching because in the cash for quadrant concept it's down in that self-employed quadrant and there is not enough leverage that I can apply to help the number of people I truly want to help in this world. With that said you could potentially create a membership site as well that would allow you to help a larger group of people all get closer and closer to their ultimate goals. A mentor of mine did something similar to this and he had over 3000 people paying $37 per month for essentially one webinar per week… And when you do the math on that it's pretty impressive!

Thanks so much Miles. Read the Cash Flow Quadrant back in 2002 and made it work until the real estate crash. Was a little confused on how to apply it in the IM arena but just watched that video you made and that got me back on track. I would guess that's Mike Dillard you're speaking of and his Mag. Spon. book was a big asset for me in 2008. Bought MLM traffic and Black Belt recru. also. He's amazing but you're going to do better! Thanks for making a difference.

Mike Dillard is another great example! Indeed he created a situation where he was the top earning distributor in his MLM company… And that book he wrote, magnetic sponsoring sold so many copies that he walked away from network marketing without even thinking about it! I believe he made something like $25 million from that "information product" and thousands of affiliates made a whole lot of money selling it too! I appreciate your kind words!

I think a couple of hundred dollars is a great starting point for a full course… Good margins and room to potentially buy traffic! I would focus on building out a great opt in offer to collect leads before going for the sale!

Hey Miles, what traffic source can you use with this funnel? I've heard that with facebook, since it's a social platform that you have to take people from a social mindset to a buyers mindset with a presell page. And most people do that with a quiz, an advertorial, or an article. But you're using a video on your thank you page instead - does that accomplish the same thing?

Miles, The light bulb just went on!!!!!! Is All of this about selling a product or selling a mailing list. I just went on facebook and looked at a dental site to make you practice more profitable. And BAM Dental ads started to pop UP. How do I solicited companies to partner with me to have pop up, pop up on someone's page that is similar to the topic. Or if i redirect them to an information lead generation page. How is there a partnership to get a commission is they purchase a product. I guess it cold be about selling the product OR is it about the generation of larger leads for larger companies . WOW THE LIGHT IS ON

I always generate a lead first, then go for the sale... that way if the sale misses, I can follow up. Look for an 'affiliates' link on their site... Or just reach out to them. The internet business world is still about relationships, like the physical world is. How we develop and nurture them is a little different.

I'm a little confused... #1 - Aweber sends the emails for you... It doesn't receive any. You can always send to your gmail account and save all of them, but I think aweber archives the emails. Many affiliate programs do not give you the email addresses of customers... Some do. If you get the data, you can easily put them on a 'buyers of product A' list and market to them from there. It just takes digging in and doing the research. Can be different for every product, not a formula. Just want in there makes it unique and gets the prospect to think "ah ha... THAT is why this will work for me, this time when all the other products I tried like this failed"

I have started driving traffic through bing, just because i had prior experience with them. i also plan to use facebook. Bing has disqualified my ads, because i dont have a privacy policy. i know nothing about such things! How do i handle this?

Hi Miles. Truly awesome content. What are your thoughts on double opt-in to your email list? I know it puts some people off, but I have heard that the quality of the subscriber can be better? Have you any data from your experience to illustrate this.

I go back and forth on this idea constantly... Bigger lists can improve your reach and indeed can improve sales, but it can decrease deliverability increase holding costs and management costs and potentially connect you with less-than-perfect customers. Smaller lists can still be hyper-productive, your deliverability goes up, and if someone's not willing to confirm their email address for your free thing… Are they really going to be interested in purchasing from you? At this point I'm running all of my lists as double opt in although I've done lots of single opt in marketing in my day. I'm much more interested in building a smaller, closer knit community of raving fans than I am a giant list of mildly engaged people. Big list numbers are a total vanity metric engagement numbers are all that really matter

I always let the data guide me and I would use the Facebook audience insights tool to get a very deep understanding of who is searching for these kinds of products and what the other interests they have are. I don't recommend redirecting the thank you page to an affiliate offer. Have a video on the thank you page that introduces the affiliate product in the button below the video can link them there. This is called a bridge page

Hi Miles, when you create a optin page, are you creating a freebie to give them first (to offer value) or are you linking them directly to the sales page of the product you are trying to sell? I saw in one of your videos, the opt in page offered a "kiss test" without actually selling them anything initially. I assume they will sell to them in the email sequence but not initially. Going through your videos, incredible stuff! I'm in the dropshipping business but getting tired of the amount of work put into it, so looking into affiliate marketing now. Couple questions if you don't mind :) 1. is it too late to get into affiliate marketing with clickbanks? :D 2. I am aware of facebook policy on not being allowed to advertise affiliate links etc BUT - a funnel like this video for example, are you allowed to facebook advertise this funnel? because technically you're just advertising the "information video" and it is the customers choice to buy the product? for the facebook ad for this you wouldn't be allowed to write in the ad "buy the pills or cream in this link" correct? First thing, if you somehow think affiliate marketing is less work... You may be confused. Making money online in any way shape or form takes an incredible amount of work, persistence, and perseverance. That said, margins are often better in affiliate marketing. But the ultimate trick to making money online is to do one thing for 3 to 5 years straight. I feel like you may get value from this video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/g7uAq92nqrmanWg.html Okay, on to your questions: 1) It is not too late to get into affiliate marketing with Clickbank. Here's the thing though... You never link directly to an affiliate product from a Facebook ad. You have to build a list first! you have to build a relationship with the list! you have to do this for years straight! so be sure it's in a niche that focuses on something you love.... Does Clickbank have anything that sells well in a niche that you love? I don't know.... 2) My wording on the landing page was probably too aggressive for Facebook... But if you get the wording down pat to where it's within their terms of service you can absolutely market this kind of a funnel on Facebook. That's what it's for! Facebook cares about the content in your ad and on your landing page... Both have to be compliant. I can't stress enough the importance of doing something you love in a niche that you love because it's going to take 3 to 5 years of testing, hard work, content creating to achieve true success.
