My man single handedly proved stonehenge is possiblr. A man who decided to actually sit down and figure it instead of saying "aliens" like with the pyramid.

This is pretty clever. If you think about the fact that he did this alone you can imagine how much more efficient the system would be with a whole crew. For instance: when he uses counter weights to jack the stone off the ground you could actually just have a group of guys walk from end to end on the stone while another guy adds boards to the jack system.

Not only that, but they needed an “advanced civilization” to tell them how to do something as simple as stack rocks on top of each other

They were, by definition. That doesn't make them stupid or incapable of something as simple as stacking rocks. The ancestors accomplished incredible things with sticks and stones. Now we break down and rearrange atoms for our purposes. We raise the dead out of the earth to ascend to heaven. That's pretty darn advanced.

It's one thing to slowly wobble huge stones back and forth and slowly move them WHEN you have an even concrete foundation underneath your feet, but how did they pull it off in the mud, moving them long distances? This doesn't really explain anything about how Stonehenge was built.
@FadesGameShack
@FadesGameShack 2 жыл бұрын
Yes yes it does... Think about the core concept this proved... That it IS possible to move and manipulate MASSIVE stones without any MECHANICAL TOOLS or power or hydraulics. If one man could do this by him self on a smaller scale Imagine what hundres if not thousands of people could do, especialy if they were slaves or captives People want to believe that aliens or what ever pseudo science built the pyramids or stone henge. NO It was people, could old fashion brawn and brain and yes the same concept would work with a large round boulder instead of a stone, and hard compacted earth. Think critically... this is how stonehenge was built
@alex-ki5kn
@alex-ki5kn Жыл бұрын
Slightly late here but they probably built a wooden foundation to spread the force out then did exactly this. As for moving them, round logs. You put it on those and push forward, then move the back log to the front. Rinse and repeat till you're there.

@FadesGameShack
@FadesGameShack 2 жыл бұрын
yeah it works snow, sand, mud as long as you can find a boulder round enough and large enough you can do the exact same thing. Large boulder will create more surface tension and not sink as you are implying it would on grass Not only that but image with 100s of 1000s of slave laborers or workers like they had back when original stonehenge was erected you could simply have them stomp the earth and compact the grass and sand with there feet. Same thing happens at concerts in fields the ground becomes compacted and hardened. Also they could wait till the dry season when theres even LESS moisture in the soil Yeah it would work exactly the same, just needs a larger round boulder to hold surface tension

WTF are you talking about? I haven't said anything about aliens?!? I just say this doesn't explain anything about Stonehenge. I have always known that you can wobble large heavy objects back and forth on a lever as long as you have an even surface that doesn't give way to the load, this is nothing new or revolutionary, it's just basic physics. But how the people "back in the days" managed to move such huge blocks for miles in muddy terrain and sometimes over water is not explained by this.

I applaud this man. What is AMAZING is how many people in the comments here are saying things like "...yeah but...he didn't show how to _____...AHA!...." LOL, my LORD what imbeciles. If he was able to accomplish this with his limited resources, time, and manpower, just imagine what he could do if he had an ENTIRE CIVILIZATION working for him with ABSOLUTE POWER such as the Egyptians Pharaohs had for THOUSANDS of years. They had the population levels to support the manpower needed (archaeology proves this by having uncovered the remnants of the work camps and evidence of their food waste such as fish bones etc)....they had the foodstuffs needed to support the manpower due to the fertile Nile valley (again, evidence of foodstuffs on a MASSIVE scale)...they had TIME immemorial to get things done and use trial and error to perfect the techniques such as what this man figured out within decades (or less) of his own lifetime...AND they had a culture that actually believed in erecting these monuments as part of the Pharaoh being a divine presence on this earth (sound familiar.....Jesus? So this wasn't the ONLY culture - by far - to regard their leader or an example of a human being as divine - and NO, this is not an opening for Bible-thumping maniacs to condemn me to hell for even comparing the two...I believe in a higher power and since I have nothing else to go on, I choose to follow the Christian bible along with some aspects of other Abrahamic religions). Look at what the US can accomplish without even HALF of its citizens supporting it in its effort ideologically (the projection of world military power for decades on end - and if anyone wants to argue this, I understand your hatred for the US, but it literally mathematically has more absolute military projection power than any other nation WHILE being politically and racially fragmented (ICBMs + aircraft carriers numbering more than any other nation BY far + the leading owner of satellite technology by a single country, the list goes on)). I REST my case regarding the knumbskulls that say things like "the pyramids were built back then but we aren't capable of doing that today" that actually IS correct, considering NO government or nation is willing to even TRY such a feat do the money expended and the lack of returns. Today is all about a return...pleasing shareholders. Back in ancient Egypt there was no such thing - it was about pleasing the Pharaoh. I really wish people would stop saying we couldn't build the Great Pyramids with today's technology WHEN NO ONE HAS TRIED. It's ridiculous. As for Stonehenge, it seems much the same way. As for the ABSOLUTE idiots on this thread pointing out the fact that he didn't show how to erect a massive stone in horizontal fashion...my head just hurts for you. Watch Charleston Heston play Moses and you will see how they lifted ancient obelisks. "It's just a movie", correct Sherlock, however what they are showing in the movie is what they learned from ancient pictographs of the act and also looked at that through the eyes of physics and confirmed that the mechanism to erect obelisks used in that film is most likely how it was done. 3..2...1... I am about to enlighten those that lack enlightenment of how the horizontal stones were raised and placed on top of the vertical stones in a monument such as Stonehenge.... Here it comes....waitttt for itttt......EARTHEN RAMPS! Now please don't try and proclaim that earthen ramps were above the level of technology of the Druids, or whoever erected this monument. It is a dirt simple concept (pun intended) and ANYone could do it. For those that surmise what the ramp's angle must've been and the amount of earth needed to be put into place, then later removed is "too much"....AGAIN the ancients had ALL THE TIME in the world. from 1900 to 2000 the technological advancements were astonishing life-changers. That was not the case back then. For THOUSANDS of years, technology remained exactly the same. Conclusion: ancient cultures erected these monuments w/o any "outside" help, and the technology and means were WELL within their grasp. I personally wished we could've proved alien involvement (like in Star Gate), but unfortunately we now see that they could've done it themselves - and did therefore DID IT THEMSELVES. Anyone that brings us dissimilar achievements such as Osiris' shaft....you might want to consider and remember that everything ELSE is debunked...so that will probably be the fate for any remaining "unexplained" phenomenon. I REST - MY case.

Density of concrete without steel reinforcement is something like 150 lb/ft^3. Most naturally occurring rocks (meaning not being crushed/cast or other forms of man interference) tends to be much less dense. Which can be seen here: www.simetric.co.uk/si_materials.htm/. However, as the monoliths in stonehenge are believed to be tested as bluestone its density is something like 162 lbs/ft^3 so its pretty dang close to typical concrete mixture. www.fieldstonecenter.com/bluestone/ :) humans werent as dumb as history books want you to think. It just takes a little ingenuity
