I've had Fat Gripz for 12 years, and I still get funny looks when I use them at the gym here in Sydney. Usually when a lift fails, it's the grip that goes first and easily. I tell Individuals here to work on their grip strength but no-one listens lol ...

Grip strength is fun. I joined a gym with all this stuff and just so happens my trainer is one of the best in the world, so I'd better learn from him. Only problem is his hands are twice as big as mine so all the geometry is different. But yeah, this is great stuff, and I love the feeling of getting a burn in the hands.

Yo Anton, let me preface this by saying i love your videos, i watch 'em all and - i think - like most other viewers i feel like you should be way more successfull on youtube and there is something i have noticed. Especially compared with Magnus' Videos he often implements Camera Shots of the building he is entering or showing where he is right now if it's a different country show 5 seconds of the flight etc. And i really feel like it adds a lot to the viewing experience, ofcourse it's absolutely useless in terms of educational value but it's youtube and i think or rather i am convinced that most of the videos are watched more for the entertainment value rather than education or information. This video especially: Would have been cool to know where you are geographically, how do you know the moustache ninja and who is he? (I only learned 50% through the video that he also is a ninja warrior), was it a long drive etc. In short: giving the videos a bit of a vlog feel, if that makes sense. ofcourse I personally will watch all your videos regardless, but then again i really appreciate the information given since i only got into strength sports about 2 years ago.

Training with grippers is like training with rubber bands. Since the tension increases with range of motion it isn't measurable. I prefer straight weight.

One thing about the grippers that confuses me. He said his record is a 149lbs gripper, and also said on IG that it equals a COC 3 which is 280lbs. Is it possible they are confusing lbs with kg? 149kg would make much more sense because I easily crush my 65kg gripper and I'm just an average joe in terms of grip strength.
@kingpotent3950
@kingpotent3950 Жыл бұрын
No basically the grip strength which comes with the gripper automatically measures from the top of the gripper nearest to the coil but if you send it off to certificate it to see the actual strength needed to close it will be from the bottom of the gripper as that’s where we close the gripper from. So in reality a 200lb gripper is actually nearly half of that weight Hope this helps

Its so wierd to hear his max is like 149 on the grippers. i bought a CoC level 1 gripper that weighs 140 lb and after just one week i was able to close it pretty comfortably :/. Am i the wierdo of is he just oddly weak in the grippers? Edit: i forgot to mention i dont have chalk either so im lost on how 149 with chalk would be hard
