In this video I teach you how I use a Bull float to smooth the concrete out. I give tips on ways I use it to make it flatter and smoother. Then I rub the edges with a mag to make it all blend together before I cut the edges in with the tool. I teach you how I start on a corner and how to fill in any holes and make the edges look good. Finally I show you how I clean out the edger marks and make it look smooth. Thanks for watching

I've seen some bull float video but they never mentioned about turning pole right or left to lift the front or back. Thank you so much for the information. Including the edging.

Not all bull floats are the same. Some don't have the chains so there would be no need to twist the handle.

at 79 years old I supported a much younger guy who was about to lay 9 cu yds of ready mix which had been unloaded into his dive way . around 50 metres from the prepared work area . After watching numerous concrete slab laying videos .I had a good idea of what lay in store for the afternoon delivery . the 9 cu m of concrete was sitting menacingly in the drive a three foot high tsunami held in place by the house and garden wall. no Bobcat only two wheelbarrows a couple of shovels and garden rakes .I had entered the rear of the house through the front door and had not even seen the mountain of concrete . after an hour of continuous raking and rough levelling of the wheelbarrowed concrete .m I took a peep around the corner of the house up the driveway and was horrified to see that less than half of the concrete had been barrowed into the work area .Suggestions by me that YOU NEED MORE LABOURERS where turned down with a curt NO.The concrete was now becoming more difficult to rake level , it was a breezy sunny afternoon around 22c. The 60 year old labourer,s barrow loads of concrete were arriving less frequently . checking on what was slowing down the work I was horrified to see that the huge delivery of concrete had started to cure making it almost unworkable .There must have been another 4 cu m of now rapidly curing concrete a shovel just bounced off it . I had been working non stop for over three hours and had had enough. Leaving the remaining two guys to their unenviable task .SOME PEOPLE NEVER LEARN.
