How To Buy Bitcoin In Canada For Beginners - with BULL BITCOIN

At Canada Post, ID that matches the name on the account is required when funding with cash or debit (beginning May 7, 2024). As a result this funding method is no longer No-KYC, but does still provide an alternative to e-transfers.

Back in 2022 when btc was at its cycle low, people were saying btc is done for it's going below $15k US it's going to zero. Well it's down 10% from mid March ath 2024 and now everyone is shitting themselves. That doesn't make any logical sense especially for crypto.Its just a shake out phase, chill people go zoom out at old charts. We are at around 1.4 trillion market cap and only growing, just wait and see the price next year in March it will double....I've been engaged in active trading and managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.3Bitcoin to a decent 24Bitcoin....I'm especially grateful to Donna Mikalonis, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape…

Wealthsimple is not a good alternative to Bull Bitcoin. You can get exposure to the price of bitcoin on Wealthsimple but you don't control the private keys yourself. Withdrawing your bitcoin is quite a challenge. Not your keys, not your bitcoin!

So as I write this it's $50,114.83 to sell and $52,083.33 to buy. This means that Bull "spot price" is $51,098.10. The sell is a 1.9% discount to spot. The buy is 1.9% premium to spot. This exchange is very reasonable, in my opinion, especially when you consider that there is no withdrawal fee. Bull Bitcoin also coinjoins all bitcoin in and out of the exchange. Combined with the option to buy with cash (no ID needed), Bull is the most private option available.

Do you need to use your passphraze to spend bitcoin from Nunchuk wallet if you have set up a passphraze ?

Yes. The passphrase is not stored in the wallet software, it needs to be added manually every time. This provides an extra layer of security in the event your phone is stolen/hacked etc. And always remember you need your seed words AND your passphrase stored safely as a backup of the wallet.

Yes unfortunately now they do require a phone number. Also beginning on May 7 you would need to show ID at Canada Post to do the funding. I'll change the description of the video ASAP. Bisq is another option for no-kyc. It's a decentralized exchange - software - definitely a bit more complicated than regular exchanges. Bisq.network

You can pay any bill in Canada or send an etransfer of money to anyone (including yourself). Just click on “sell bitcoin”

If you have put in a name and verified an email you can now use the cash funding option. Click on “Fund your account” then “Cash or debit at Canada Post” and follow the instructions. If you want to find your account with an e-transfer then yes you need to provide ID.

Not sure what to tell you except to try it out. I can assure you it's legit. Note that they do NOT hold your bitcoin so you'd find out within a couple hours if they're legit or not. They can't scam you like FTX (for example).

@@albertbeaulne9114 Yes unfortunately it is currently down. You can still go in to Canada post and fund with cash or debit. For larger amounts a wire transfer would be better. Hopefully they get the etransfer issue figured out soon.

@@albertbeaulne9114 Bitcoin Jungle is a custodial wallet - meaning you there are no words to write down. You don’t hold your own keys - the wallet company does. This can be okay as long as you are using it to hold small amounts of Lightning Bitcoin for spending. If you are looking to save your bitcoin for the long term you should definitely hold your own keys.
