The base should be (Q1 + Q2) / 2 because we want the same increase and decrease in percentages wheter we upside upwards or downwards!

Yes, you are technically correct it is "complement" not "compliment", in the states we are not that worried about the nuances of the queens language. We are not picky on color or colours or flavors or flavours either.

Your tutorial is very informative. I just wanted to ask, do I still have to compute the cross-price elasticity if the prices are still the same but there is a changes in quantity demand? Thank you for your response!

where can you show the price increases from 1 to 2 . in the above you did nt show price increase from 1 to 2 in cross elasticity of demand.

Why don't you do the average of x and y (add the two sums and divide by 2) versus just subtracting? This is confusing to a new economics student like me watching various videos.
