How to Calculate Month on Month Change in Power BI

Күн бұрынPower BI Tutorial for beginners on how to calculate month over month change to show the improvement or decline in percentage.
To achieve this we need to primarily identify the last month information and put it equivalent to current day using calculate and dateadd function and then using the divide function we can calculate % change and show it in a table or chart.

I have a question, in my data i only have month from January 2023 until may 2023, but it DATEADD is adding month for whole year, and this is impacting data, how can i filter only for month that i have in data.

How you get 161 amount in previous month Jan 2019

Returns same values of current month. I have put the same DAX formula but it is not returning previous month value.

I have observed that if sales dates are same as in calendar (means sales happened in every date as mentioned in calendar, then it returns correct value. However, if sales didn't happen in any date then values does not return correct and value of same month is returned.
