This video shows THREE different ways in which you can calculate present value of an ordinary annuity using MS Excel.

6:50 The NPV formula is useful when you just have the cash flow (in this case, all the $500 per period). If you already have all the info, PV is ok. Another reason is the one you just said. If we have diferent amounts in those cash flows, the PV formula also doesnt work. Im studying finances, so thats why in looking into all those stuff. Thanks for the vid!! :)
