Do the whammy 5s also drop the notes in a whammy style or just pitch shift them up?

I'll gladly give you an answer Example: If your guitar is tuned E standard and you go to turn on your new digitech set to whammy it should be in E standard when it returns to pitch. But if the guitar is tuned to E standard but the pedal has a higher pitch than it should be while returning to pitch calibration is required.

This one is for guitars only but digitech does have one for bass guitars DigiTech Bass Whammy Pitch Shift Bass Pedal

I've did a quick research on the DW4 and DW5 and they have the same calibration method. The minor difference is the way they light up but other than that it's the same.
