Not many things can grab my attention in life the way you and your videos have. Sat on my floor with a drape cloth down and rewound this video over a thousand times thoroughly following step by step and the feeling I got when my owl turned out was special. Wish I could master carving. What a super idea you have. I volunteer at my local pantry. We have about 280 families. Many elderly without family and many unemployed families with small kids. How I wish I could bring smiles to even just one. Our town is 1900 people. They rerouted a highway which in turn killed our economy.

May 2020 I started wood carving (for the first time using a box cutter) with your easy to follow demo, since then after the so called protocol implementation to be safe from covid, I've done a lot with the proper tools. . .all of this was inspired by you. In fact I made a video and recreated this owls. I posted it on my channel. Just so you know I've acknowledge in my video description that I recreated your design. I am a fan and thank Mr Doug Linker.

Doug, loved the little owls so much I made a dozen for the children at Church and will make more, they will love them as much as I do making then. I still like my Smokey Mountain comical Bears at 6” tall but they are more involved. Actually they are original to a fine carver from Townsend TN. Keep em comeing my friend God bless

Wonderfully clear video Doug. Thanks, got to go give a try at making one. I really like the way you break the carving down into very understandable and easy to complete segments step by step. Cheers, Michael O. Alabama,USA

Adorable owls. Great tutorial. The auction idea someone mentioned sounds like a winner to me but if you are anything like my dad, he wouldn't part with any of his crafts for money. He said it would take the joy out of it. I am glad that you share your talent with us. I wish my dad would have tutored us kids a little.
