Pokémon Legends: Arceus is an action role-playing game developed by Game Freak for the Nintendo Switch and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. It is part of the eighth generation of the Pokémon video game series and serves as a prequel to Pokémon Diamond and Pearl (2006), Pokémon Platinum (2008), and their remakes Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (2021). The games were released on 28 January 2022. The game was announced as part of the Pokémon 25th Anniversary event alongside Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is an action role-playing game that preserves the core gameplay of past entries in the main line series. The game is set in a bygone era of the Sinnoh region's history, when it was known as the Hisui region, long before the events of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl and their remakes take place. The mythical Pokémon Arceus will play a major role in the story.
Players can capture wild Pokémon in the overworld without engaging in battle, though some wild Pokémon must still be battled before being caught. Players can initiate battles by releasing their captured Pokémon near a wild Pokémon. Poké Balls in this era are made of wood and puff steam when a Pokémon is caught. At the start of the game, three starter Pokémon options are available: Rowlet (the grass-type starter Pokémon from the Alola region), Cyndaquil (the fire-type starter Pokémon from the Johto region) and Oshawott (the water-type starter Pokémon from the Unova region). This makes Pokémon Legends: Arceus the first mainline game to feature starter Pokémon from different regions together

A mistake you made, Cherubi CAN spawn in the rain. I got mine when it was raining.

just to let you know you actually dont have to exit to the village to reset the trees you can go to either of the camps and just rest until your desired time of day but the just a while option will not reset the

There’s also another way to get Cherubi/ Cherrim. Go to coronet highlands and tp to that base camp you get when you find a Bronzor and look at the trees at the circle lake thing right next to the camp. If they are shaking throw ur mons at it. If there are no trees shaking, reset in the base camp to night and try again. I tried this method and got Cherubi and Cherrim first try.

I'm 43 hours in with 9 stars, I knew where it can spawn and I did search for it from time to time with no success, I watched your video, did 2 resets with your method and got it on the tree next to yours and on the way flying there, I caught a full odd shiny starly

Thanks for the tut, I found mine over by the bunny. I kept resting until morning and went back to town to reset it, and then returned, slept til morning and saw the full sun symbol on the map and got it!

I spent 2 hours looking for these god damn cherrys. Kept encountering cherrim over and over. Changed the time to midday making sure it was sunny when I checked the trees. Tree was shaking and I got my pokemon. Thank you for the tip about the weather

Read on an article saying that on the most recent update(to this date) you can only find cherubi/cherrim in one tree, in the obsidian. Which is the one tree you mentioned you found one. Coronet highlands has three trees.

I got a lvl 27 cherrim to spawn from a tree but my team was too overlevelled to damage it. I spent so long just throwing balls after balls that the game cycled through two days and cherrim bloomed and unbloomed each sun/night cycle! (Still didn't manage to catch it after over 100 ultra balls)

Its a shit bug i lost over hundret of ultra balls and lots of medic stuff. I farmed that shit balls over an hour or longer. Sadly the auto save saved my game after it killed my lvl 80 team. This is the point i decided to ragequit and throw that trash game into my toilet.

You can't complete the Pokédex entry with getting one Cherrim unless you level it up to 62. You have to defeat and/or catch others too

Good video!👍 I still think it's stupid that you have to go back to the village to, for example, fill the fruit trees again. Do it when sleeping alone, or if you are a few 100 meters further and come back I would say. For some Pokémon, they will return when you catch or defeat them by walking a little further. But not always. No, they should have done this differently!

Oh. I forgot about going in and out of town. Thanks. I started a new playthough. I am getting heck of a time trying to get Cheruby. The trees just don't shake. In desperation I tosed a honeycomb at a tree near apha Lopunny. I really wished that worked, but it doesn't. It does make sense though. Honey would attact Pokemon to the tree. Maybe Cherbi likes the honey. In reaturn I have my own tip. There is a special kind of weather that is really harsh sunlight. It is where the sun has a lens flare efect. The edges of the screen are white and fuzzy. The map symbol has a special kind of sun. It has a dot in the middle. It looks like a target with rays coming out of it. That is the ideal weather to find Cherubi. If one encounters the weather, they should drop whatever they are doing and go for this Pokemon. Anything else can wait, even other rare spawns. The only thing rarer is shinies and random alphas. If one happens to find one, they can take some time to catch it. Then they can go for Cherubi. One can sleep over and over in the game. However I feel bad about doing that. It seems rude to the Professor, and it makes me look like a lazy slacker. The professor never complains or critisizes, but I still feel bad about it. The proffessor is such a kind and hospitable guy. He doesn't deserve any kind of torment. There is a ton of stuff to do in this game anyway. So I just keep myself occupied. Then each day and each night I check on rare span locations. I sometimes sleep though the night. However I don't think anybody would mind because that is nirmal human behavior. Sometimes I even go to the village at night and sleep in my house. That is to help satchels and placed alphas respawn. I have become good at catching rare spawns with practice. Cherbi is hands down the hardest. I do know that there are special weather that increases spawn chances. If the weather is really sunny, go for Cherubi. If the weather is foggy, go for Happiny and Chansey. These guys are significantly easier. Just use Wyder to jump up a special ledge. Then the pink guys are just hanging out with the common Machokes. Dealing with a tricky ledge is way easier than dealing with trees that may or may not shake.

Hey. I just came back after trying this method. It works. Thank you so much. I was just playing the game. Then I got the special sunny weather. I saved the game. I looked up guides on KZfaq and found this video. Then I tried it. I caught a Cherubi. Yay! I just forget going in and out of town. The professor may be annoyed with my seemingly indecisive nature. However I did show him one of the rarest Pokemon in all Hisuian. I hope he is happy. The Cherubi is a pain in the neck at first. However there is something that makes it easier. It is tough to get the condition of super sunny weather, specific trees and trees shaking. However once one has it, a Cherubi is guaranteed to fall out of the tree. It doesn't have to compete with common Pokemon like Burmy and Combee. Most rare spawns have to compete with other more common spawns. Eevee is a rare spawn that spawns in place of the more common Bidoof. Pichu, Pikachu and Munchlax spawns in place of the more common Kriketot. Chansey spawns in place of Machokes. Under the perfect conditions, Cherubi always appears. That is nice. I don't like dealing with randomness in any game. If a Pokemon is supposed to be rare, it is fair for them to have guaranteed spawns in super specific locations. The Sinnoh starters is a prime example of this. I think Cherubi would have been better if there was a way one can bring it out, without having to deal with randomness. Just let the player get it by using the Sunny Day move in the field and tossing honeycombs at the right specific trees. Man I wish the weather moves were in Legends Arceus. That would give players control over the weather. So they can better encounter Pokemon they want and have the battle effects they want. The weather moves can be taught by tutor. Weather would have a bigger event on an open world game like Legends Arceus. If weather moves are too OP just lock them behind a high star rating. Just something, anything to make things easier. Do the trainers have to pray to Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza? In my current playthrough I did figure out that Parasect is amazing in this game. It is the best Pokemon for catching other Pokemon. I used my special Parasect used for catching. I use it to headbutt the tree. Once the Cherubi falls out of the tree, the battle and catching process was really easy. The only downside is that I keep forgetting that grass Pokemon are immune to powder moves. So Parasect tries using spore on Cherubi, but it doesn't work. I had a brain fart. Fortunately nothing bad came of that. I just wasted a turn, and that was it. I did figure out that Cherubi is number one priority. When that special lens flare weather comes off, drop absolutely everything. I dashed from the special camp to the trees at top speed. I rode on my Wyrdeer. I ran into a Pichu and alpha Buneary. They are rare too. That is super tempting. However I did turn them down. I already got Pichu, and even perfected the Pokedex entry. Even if I didn't, Pichu is still easier to get. So it should be ignored either way. A random alpha isn't needed as much as getting a whole new species. Cherubi and Cherrim are these species. Both shinies and alphas are just gimmicks to alter Pokemon cosmetics. It is not as important as filling the Pokedex for both the professor and Arceus. This gave has collection as its main focus.

Umm… Can someone explain this? I got a cherubi… But the thing is… it wasn’t in the heartwood… It wasn’t even in obsidian fields… It was in a tree in the crimson mirelands… Specifically, near Solcean ruins… Can anyone explain to me Wtf just happened? Update: I just found another Cherubi in crimson mirelands. This time in the exact bottom left corner of the map. I think the crimson mirelands is set to have cherubi’s come from ALL trees. Doing a sweep ever the entire area with glide might be the ideal way to farm cherubi. I’m going to reset the instance and see if I find a third. Update: Second cherubi tree found in the same instance before reset. Cherubi’s apparently do spawn quite a bit in the crimson mirelands when you sweep the entire forest.

Just wanna say you don't need to go back to the village. Same thing with munchlax you just rest overnight then return to location. Alternatively you can just leave the area until a set amount of time for Pokémon to respawn. They respawn after you go out of a zone for a set time then they come back. Same with harvested trees takes resting a d leaving the zone they in for a set amount of time . I know because it's the method I used to catch munchlax That only respawns rarely but need to rest a few times .

Pokemon in the Wild reset when you kill the ones there (or they flee) and you sleep until another time. Trees dont reset. When i do a run of berry trees and sleep to change the time, the berry trees are still empty. When i go to the village and back, they respawned. A Tree Encounter and a World Encounter are very different respawn wise.

@@elementoflight6834 it was the Pokémon I meant exception though the alpha which doesn't until you go to the village. The trees full of frui thatt don't shake but if you leave the zone and the weather changes after a sleep as long as you don't harvest the fruit or apricorns it may do that's what I was referring to. Sorry if my deacript wasnt specific enough. I didn't find my cherrim or cherubi whichever one I caught there. Funnily enough I found it in crimson area the second place it was a sole tree right down the bottom of the map after you rescue Wanda or whatever her name is there's a boulder you can break then you go along the edge to the southern most point directly south from the first camp..there was a tree there that was shaking and mine fell out of That first try.

@@elementoflight6834 The trees and rocks do reset after a period of time. I’ve heard that it’s around fifteen minutes, but jumping back to the village is faster.

I got 2 of them in row after 13:47:11 of trying to get 1. I did get a shiny wurmple, shiny buneary and a shiny psyduck in those 13 hours so that’s a win

Is it bad I was more excited about catching a cherubi than getting my shiny rampardos? I spent several hours grinding, watched your video and after ~2 hours I finally caught one.

Edit: the Cherubi never showed up in time so I used a liligant. I found one not too long ago but it ran because I was too far away

I hope this works. I have the entire pokedex completed (All Pokemon at level 10) except these two. I haven't even seen them yet. I'm getting really tired of this.

I went back after a sleep, the fruit from where I got one was still gone and the tree right next to it also gave me kne. The weather is maybe what I had wrong, I was just told blue tree (I did find them both in blue trees so could be true, but this method is flawless thanks!)

I couldn’t find a cherubi for the life of me and then the first one I caught was an alpha. And now I haven’t been able to find another one since. Bright side I caught an alpha version already.
