I use a "strainer bucket" on top of another bucket with quarter inch or larger (depending on what size you want) holes in the bottom this allows the little ones to dig down and drop into bottom bucket. When done toss little ones back and dump the big ones from top bucket into your "keep" bucket.

for those who struggled to see them, just like me. i found a good example. once you see this one, you will start to see all of them. look at the water starting to come inland at 7:41. if you pause at 7:45 you can see, slightly to the left of the pause button, there are these little glowing streaks that kinda go away immediately. it almost looks like a flock of birds making a “v shape” while flying. after that, it quickly moves back in with the wave as it retreats. watch back from 7:41-7:46 and you will see what i am talking about 👍

From fishing the East Coast all my years, they can be caught by hand as well which enables you to dig even deeper if needbe. Best places we have found are where the waves crash the hardest. Also, if using the same or next day, just place in a ziploc bag with a lil wet sand in the bottom, leave not completely zipped, and refridgerate overnight or place in a cooler try on top of ice!!!!! super easy to rebait, etc...
