I hope all those fish where eaten, its alot of fish to waste if not. just take what you need and put what you dont need back in the sea. :-)

He probably sells them to the local fishmongers, thats what I used to do years ago, was 4p a mackrel then, must be alot more now.

They're a great pike bait, so you can store them frozen for later. They ain't cheap in tackle shops so I'm not surprised this guy takes them.

This is mackerel harvesting mackerel fishing is 12lbs braid 9ft of fluro carbon leader an 5ft rod and a 10 gram abu toby silver and blue if you please

Feathers aren’t harvesting just catch them easier, I have only ever caught one fish on a solid metal lure after many many hours

Any spinning rod would do. I prefer to catch mackerel on the float.

Sea fishing does not require a licence.

I love irish mackerel fishing in the west coast my biggest was 2lbs and my most in one day was 43 fish :)

@@antoncretu3545 A single hook and a blue feather or silver ribbon. you can run a string like this or you can run a single lure. When using a single hook I like to use a small blue/silver spoon.

@@simonphoenix3789 mackerel is amazing you can do so much with it, you can fry it, smoke it, make into pate, fish cakes, the list is too long. Very easy to fillet as well
