Good tips. Only difference for when I fish the perch is a smaller treble hook.

My only question is how to find the slack water I found the wing dams but like you said there was current over the top how can you tell what slack water is everywhere o checked seemed to have current

@@DWSOutdoors I've found that rarely do the number 18 size treble hooks get swallowed. When they do go fairly deep they are so small that they come right out without harming the fish. That's been my experience so far. I've even switched to using them for walleyes.

Yeah they do work but I just choose to have less to worry about and also have a wider gap for a better hook up on bigger fish.

@kylelarson1707 some wing dams will be too deep or only have slightly less flow and sometimes that is enough of a difference to hold fish!
