Alright Kevin seen the Ryan/Jordy/your good self,some time ago,sorry I've been a little slow to get here but I am now, lovely to see someone listen to what the wood is trying to say it would like to be. Sometimes (mainly) its forced out and is as it is and then you get the pieces that were always ment to be something special. Hey Kev, amazing video so thanks man... You got yourself a new Subscriber... I used to carve full time as a young man ('96-'00, so no Dime-Tips and hardly any internet back-then...) but it didn't pay the bills so I had to Grow-Up And Get A Job, but since the Covid hit I've been dreaming of going-back to it so been checking-out channels here on YT, and now I just found yours... You do some frikkin incredible work and I'm both a little bit blown-away and massively-inspired by this beautiful dragon, so tomorrow morning I'm going to (finally) stop procrastinating, get the parts I need to get my old saw going again, order a Dime-Tip, a couple of 1/4" chains and a sprocket, and get carving, so thanks for setting the wheels in motion Buddy... 😁 I realise that you're a busy man, but if you don't mind me asking, I'm going to buy another saw to bolt the Dime Tip onto (keeping my bigger, heavier saw for roughing-out) but would really appreciate some advice? 1) You obviously like your Husqvarna saws a whole lot while I've always been a Stihl man (please don't hate...), but I've been looking at a Husqvarna 120 Mk11 because it appears to be an awful lot of saw for not much money compared to the equivalent Stihl MS181 (like 30% cheaper here in the UK), but I have no idea how good/durable the Husqvarna baby-saws are: is the 120Mk11 just a hobby saw for light firewood-work 4 weekends of the year like the Stihl MS170 is, or will it stand-up to hard use over many long years like my MS230 has? -I'd obviously like to save some money if I can, but never having used one yet I'm assuming that I'd just be using this saw with the Dime Tip for the final 10-20% so it'd most-likely be fine for that? Or would you recommend something else comparable? and... 2) Is that little battery-powered Husqvarna man-enough to do the finer work that I was going to use the 120Mk11 or MS180 for? How long do you get out of a battery (I'm guessing around 40 minutes at the most?), and is there a quick charger for them or would I need like 8 batteries and 7 chargers? Does it weigh much less than a gasoline saw, or about the same with the heavy electric motor and the battery? And finally, is the trigger like an on/off-switch, or can you get some real fine control of the chain speed like a gasoline saw? Obviously I could just Google all that, but hearing it from a user who buys their own tools instead of from a salesman 🤑 means a lot more in my world, huh? Quick question: I do not own a chainsaw yet, I noticed you used a battery powered saw, any drawbacks for battery/electric verses gas?
