The steps are simple:
1. Move the direct object to the beginning of the sentence so the object of the active sentence becomes the subject of the passive sentence.
2. Move the subject to the end of the sentence and add by.
3. Change the verb. Passive sentences always get to be + past participle so change the verb "to be" into the verb tense of the active sentence and use the appropriate past participle.
