How to change air filter for Nissan Rogue 2015

Instead of paying more just to change the air filter, its better you watch this and save more.

Thanks for saving me about $80! Word of warning: be careful when unclipping the plastic parts (after the metal latches). I managed to break one of the clips.

@@laura6954 I use the same filter back when I still have the rogue. But when I made this video that car model is faily new,so you can't find that much parts. But now you should have more options online.

I did not realize that there is a channel on the left side to slide the air duct into the filter housing. I only noticed it after watching your video. I immediately went outside to check my re-install job. It was improperly done. I redid it the way you demonstrated and it fits much better. Thank you so much for this video!

Thank you for this video. Nissan really puts some intelligence into their engine compartment design. I followed your instructions and completed this in 3-1/2 minutes. My Chevy on the other hand has the dumbest design ever.

Great Video because. The dealer wanter to charge me $45 for the filter and another $45 to install it. Same for the cabin filter. costing me near $200.00 bucks. They are freaking thieves. So easy and I wont even break a nail! Thanks for the Video!!

Small addition, you're going to want to clean out the filter compartment of any debris with a vacuum before putting the new one in.

mzjpriestley maybe they mean a new filter.Usually when you go to a dealership they give you a report with what needs an attention.Double check if you got that and see if its a filter that needs to be change.

cdm386 micro filter is also called as the cabin air filter. It filters the air that goes into your car which is technically what your breathing..And the other one is the engine filter and that filters the air that goes to your engine.. Both of these filters are very important.

I have been changing air filters on cars for decades, this is the first one where the housing broke. The clips are very flimsy, you can't krazy glue it back as its a point of failure. I am disapointed in the design of new cars.

it fits fine with one plastic clip. Maybe when fitting the air duct the two metal clips should not be engaged to give the plastic clips some slack. This part is called the air duct, Nissan part# 16577

So I just fucked up and unmatched the air filter hooks before unlatching the little delicate plastic clips and it didn't go back the way it should've........
