Need a full set front and rear on mine and only had the car a couple of months, but despite it being MOT'd in November it needs a full set on so this is a massive help

Be carefull Doing this job as there are 2 different types of brake pad carriers on astra G.This is the intrigrated carrier type.Also it very easy to cross thread the carrier bolts be very carefully doing it.

Why don’t you put on grease? Is it because you didn’t know or what?
@seansautos152
@seansautos152 5 жыл бұрын
You don't need to use grease nowadays unless you really want to. Pads are fitted with anti squeal plates... Most manufacturers don't recommend the use of grease
@MazookDK

The plate on the backside... Sure. But what about the slider pins, the surface on the brake caliper carrier where the pads are in contact with etc. You use nothing at all.

@@MazookDK if your sliders are doing their job.. there is no need to grease.. Plus greasing the contact areas is individual preference, you can if you want but there really is no need whatsoever... I have never had any issues.

@@seansautos152 I use silicone brake lube but on new cars I can't see any lube on the brakes so guess it's personal choice.
