A Dodge dealer told me to give him the last 8 digits of the vin, and ssured me there WAS a Cabin air filter. They LIED. They even gave me a part #. Thanks to your video, it shows me that on my "top-of-the-line" 2007 Grand caravan, THERE'S NO DARN CABIN FILTER. Prevented me from wasting more time than I already had. Thanks.

I have an 05 T&C and there is a slot under the glove compartment to the left. Just slide the lever and pull off the cover, pull out old filter and replace with new.

Thanks for the vid and confirming I wasn't crazy. Just bought a 2007 Grand Caravan and purchased a cabin air filter from Amazon and couldn't find a damn filter where it was supposed be. Unbelievable. Guess I'm stuck with the musty old lady smell these vans get after almost 15 years of use.

There is a cabin filter and you do access right where you showed it should be, I have the exact same van as yours. You have to reach in the slit and pull the filter out. It is installed vertically. Not trying to be disrespectful, I had to play around a little bit to figure this out. The filter was filthy! Thank you for making this video as I always say something good always comes out in the end!!

Both my cararvans 2007 dodge caravan sxt and 2006 dodge grand caravan sxt both do not have the sliding plate to get into the air cabin filter it just appears as a solid piece exactly like yours. So wether there is one in there or not, I"m not sure but id doesn't appear to have access to it if there is one.

I purchased a filter that was listed as "compatible" with my 2003 dodge caravan se based off of the book at the parts store a few years ago and was perplexed when I went to install it. Still have the van and was wondering if I could go to the scrapyard and pull one from a more expensive and higher trim town and country and it it would fit.

I have a 2006 DGC and my cabin air filter was exactly where you said it was. I pulled it out and changed it. I'm surprised that your 2004 didn't have the same thing.

Got a 2007 DGC, same here bad burn oil smell is coming, I just clean the engine on top and underneath and is helping a little bit.

I had the same problem drove me nuts trying to find the filter hours later busted up knuckles leftover screws and a slew of cus words later there is no filter in the 05 grand caravan either

My 05 SXT didn't come with one either. I think that's bogus considering air quality has become so important and promoted these days. I LOVED my 2000 Chrysler LHS(Which ironically didn't come with a cabin air filter either) but I HATE this 05 Dodge Caravan! I feel like I got a bottom of the barrel, minimalist vehicle. I will NEVER get another Dodge vehicle. The only reason I bought it was because my family was growing and my sporty LHS wasn't cutting it for a family.

just spray air freshner / lysol into the vent above the hood on the outside you were talking about. Do it as you have the AC running on high. That will kill the stink.

Our 05 Chry Town and Country does not have it,..base models, Dodge or Chry do not have cab filters.

Some did some did not

Just cut that out with a dremmel tool. There are ways to do it. Amazon sells the kits as well. Just cut out the where the filter would go.

I tried to open the air filter access on my 2005 Dodge Grand caravan and I couldn't figure out how to access the cabin filter, it didn't seem to have a way to open it up.. now I know why! There isn't a way to open it because there isn't one. 🙄

I run these vans for a taxi service..Just bought a plane Jane 2005 Dodge Caravan..Hand Crank windows..No Cruise control. There is sticks and leaves coming outta the vents.. And NO CABIN AIR FILTER.. This is the first one without one since 2004

The fourth generation 2001 to 2007 depending on the options that were chosen came with a cabin filter it seems more so the Chrysler town and country limited came them. In my experience my 2002s limited town and country in the caravan limited came with cabin filters and 2005 has no cabin filter it’s an SXT you think it would be simple for Dodge to just have them all have cabin air filters why they did that made it complicated not sure.Trying to save money obviously as most companies do but now you gotta manage which versions in the system one more thing one more detailed thing to manage about the vehicles truly how much savings other than not having an cabin filter.. that brings me to my next statement is the ones that don’t have cabin air filters that squirrel cage your fan unit Hass to be I would think clogged up or getting a clogged I’m gonna take a look at my 05

I had work done on my 04 dodge caravan sxt 3.3, at pep boys and when time to pay i had asked how much for a cabin filter for it, which I intended to put in myself and was told $27 , I said no thank you. I just checked again to try and find it and never found it, and wondering why. Even some vids showed where it was. Then i came across this vid. Now I understand why I couldn't find it. This grand was same setup as mine. IT DOESN'T HAVE ONE. But pep boys was willing to sell me one. WTH!

Dodge looked for ways to save a few bucks on the Caravan. After 2000 only the gauges and center console light up while things that did on the 96-2000 models like window & lock switches, mirror controls etc. Almost any car with steering wheel controls has them light up but not Dodge. I don't know why they don't just raise the price to cover the few dollars per car it would cost for lighted switches. It is also cheaper to make all models have cabin air filters than making different parts and making buyers feel cheated. My fancy 2000 SE is like new, 48k but no cabin air filter even with full options. Cheap, cheap!
