How to change injectors on a C15 CAT Engine

This video shows you how to remove and install injectors as easy as possible with torque specs on a Caterpillar C15 ACERT engine, this applies to military vehicles also

Very good work, I learn When we change the one injector ? We do rotate the engine to tdc # 1-6 according to firing order what number injector changing then do height adjustment properly . Or just Change

I always install the file number from each injector into the ecm, a lot of people don't and don't seem to have issues but I'm a neat freak I guess.

Thank you, I just wanted to ask you about freeze plugs , while i tried to replace the freeze plug which is inside the cover head , it went inside the cover head cooling lines when i used hammer , and then i put the new one , do you think if i leave the old one inside the cover head , it will make problem in my C15 engine ?

Honestly this never happened to me before but it shouldn't have drop very far were you cant fish it out. Hope this helps.

Fredito ok thank you for responding, but do you think it will make problem to my engine if i leave it ? Since i did run the engine for 1 hour and everything was good

@@shantvazken2274 if you ran it and its doing nothing and your ok with it then I'm assuming its ok. I never had this happen but im also not saying that it won't be a problem in the future. At this point its up in the air and if you feel confident enough that it won't do damage its still up to you. Good luck bro 💪

@@ELJC1 Torque to 58ft. lbs, +90degrees or til it snaps off then back it off a quarter turn. 😮😮😮

This particular piece of equipment is a military vehicle the injectors came with no adjustment needed, they did come with a the software to do so however I didn't need to use. Sorry I hope this helps.
