Are you sure all the numbers are lined up on the combo line? Make sure none of them are turned partially, or halfway, thats the only thing I can really think of

You have to hold the shackle down while you change the code

With this Brinks lock shown in the video you do not need to hold it down. You just need to press it down and leave it. The shackle on this lock is not spring loaded, but some other brands with similar lock style may differ

@@RobSomeKnowledge with my old one I didn't have to hold it down just bought a new one tonight and I couldn't get the code to change until I put a little pressure on the shackle after spinning 180 degrees into the lock position and it it s the exact same as the lock in video, I only commented so people with similar problem can try that snd see if it helps, it might be a new feature or something

Assuming you're physically able and the wheels on your lock turn easily enough, you can go through the 10,000 possible combinations in a few hours. The question is, where do you start? Begin at 0000 and count forward? You might save a lot of time going down from 9999.

I’m not at home right now to check, but I’m pretty sure you have to keep the combination in correctly, until you lock it, then you can scramble it. Is the right combo on the line when you are trying to lock it?

Some viewers have reported that newer version of this lock model, require you to apply active downward pressure on the shackle while changing the code. If you haven't already got this resolved, try to set the dial back to your original code, then press down on the shackle while changing the code to 0000, and then try to move the shackle back to original position.

Then you’ll either have to put in every possible combination or find some way to bypass the code. There are some videos up on how to pick this style lock but I haven’t done it myself.

@@RobSomeKnowledge i just bought that lock but when I put the factory combination (0000) it doesn’t open. I bought it in clearance so maybe someone use it before me. (The package was open with tape on it) The question is there’s any way to unlock it or do I have to return the lock? Thanks!

Unless you wanna go through all remaining combinations (9,999 of them) then you’re just gonna have to return it

Is it a brinks lock? People have said on newer versions you have to actually press the shackle down while changing the combo, give that a try

Is there away to change it if you forgot your old code?
