You officially take the honour of being the first person to post a video detailing a clutch change of this model, I often wondered why no one had posted one. Thanks for the video will be useful for when I take on this job, mines on 109k, original clutch as far as I know I bought it at 43k. What I plan to do different is use an engine support beam, don't know if you researched this beforehand? I don't know where to attach the chain to the engine though.

Well thank you thats why i made this video like i said if anything a guide of where everything is was more beneficial to me , and i did do some research into that but obviously there dosent appear to be any engine crane attachment points that i know of on this engine

Great advice about doing the slave cylinder, and checking the geatbox mount, if you are replacing the clutch.

At 11:38 you said that the friction plate was probably aftermarket. Ive read it in a few places that LUK supplied ford factory fit clutches- MOTORCRAFT is written on the backing plate which suggests its either an original clutch or at least a Ford supplied replacement. Great video btw.

did you put a new transmission input shaft oil seal (one behind the slave) in?

If you happen to drop the clutch plate out without noticing which way around it went, the new one will indicate which side faces the gearbox / engine. The writing may be in german, but it is there. I found this out the hard way...

Hi mate, just wanted to ask you kindle on how you bled the clutch on the fiesta clutch change, did you use the pedal two person, did you reverse bleed the system. Thank you 😊

The way I found that worked for me was 2 people get someone to pump clutch about 5 times then hold down and crack bleed open then close and do that a couple times honestly didnt take much to bleed it quiet and easy clutch to bleed

Excellent video, slaves gone on mine as well! Is it necessary to remove the driveshafts out of the hub or will they not come free from the gearbox without doing this?

I have a mk6 zs petrol, and lately it will go into 4th and 5th easily, but there’s absolutely no power in them, once they go into those gears the speed hardly moves. Would it be a safe bet that it’s a clutch issue?

Could be the clutch slipping a tiny amount youll notice clutch slip more at a higher speed
