How to Change the Oil on a GT40 with a Roush 427SR

My Superformance GT40 is for sale but before it goes to it's new home, I wanted to change the oil. It has a Roush 427SR so it's all pretty typical American car stuff. It ended up taking about 8.5 quarts vs the 6.5 that was stated on the Roush paperwork. I think that's because it has an auxiliary oil cooler.

so rad, oh man what a great ride! The cam attitude reminds me of my WS6 with BTR cam, totally intoxicating hear at idle and roars on acceleration :P

Good luck with the sale. I recently sold my 2006 Jeep LJ that had been a BIG part of my life for close to 14 years. That was real tough for me.

Just ran a tape measure from the sitting room carpet to 42" (every little helps) showed my 67 year old wife how tall the car is and how cool it would be to own😇 I got a look only a couple married for over 40 years would understand😊

Why would you add clean oil to a new filter? I've changed oil in various cars for over 50 years, have never done it like this , and have never had an engine lubrication problem or damage traceable to a non pre-loaded filter. Additionally, many filters side mount (the filter being ground parallel, not vertical, as here), so that that custom is impossible.
