This video describes how to adjust the built in size of fonts on the Brother Luminaire or the Baby lock Solaris or Vision. You can also change the density. Always test a stitch out of the design on the appropriate fabric for your project.

Does pe design have an offset feature so you could offset letters, words or images, or a hack method that would do that?

Teri is there away to reset the scanner in the luminaire xp3 mine is saying that my fabric is to complicated to convey the fabric is plain white

I have a question about embroidery patterns. I have a lot of older patterns from 8 or so years ago. I have tried to use some of these on my luminaire but it has not turned out well. As a matter of fact the needles break and the machine seems to " hang up". I don't know if it is the older embroidery

I have a question about the luminaire and older embroidery patterns. I have some patterns that are 8 or so years old. I recently tried to stitch a few of them out but it did not go well. The machine seems to hang up in areas and the needle would snap. This happened on 4 or 5 of the designs. Some were probably cheaply done but some were from well known designers who are still in business. Is there a known problem with older designs and the newer machines reading the pattern? Most of them had jump threads that were not being cut underneath and that seemed to be the area where it would hang up if it was dense. I do hope you could help me with this. Some of these patterns were really nice and I have used them on my old Viking Designer SE with no problem. Thank you for you time.

If you have software, open your designs and try to save them as a PES 9 or higher. Also make sure that your thread is not catching on the bottom of the embroidery spool if it is upright (some spools have a snap bottom). Check for spools that have cuts on the top and if the spool is horizontal use a thread cap. The problem may be because of the way the thread comes off the spool and catches on something.
