video showing what tools should be in the boot / trunk of a Range Rover sport 2005 and how to use them to change your spare tyre / wheel. Also covers some maintenance you can do to be better prepared. Should also be the same for Land Rover Discovery 3 / LR3 models

Nice video Simon- Ive had 2 rear punctures and had to replace the wheels roadside- its not fun and everything is heavy and generally awkward, roadside. Ive got 22'' wheels and the jack ONLY just raises the vehicle high enough at the REAR. Consequently, Ive got a few bits of wood to place underwear the jack. it worth trying to do this BEFORE you have to do it roadside- First time, I wonder the winch the wrong direction and it wouldn't retract afterwards- I had to replace the winch. Ive owned the car for just over 10 years.

Here I am watching at midnight because I need to remove the spare to do some work on an lr3 tomorrow. I had no idea how to remove the tire with not being in the actual trunk or to lower underneath could've just looked under the jack🤦‍♂️

Hi. I just watched your video after my tire change. I forgot to switch off the air suspension before tire change. Now it's done. What could go wrong? Should I get it checked before starting it? Thanks

Hi I believe there is a setting in the system for this - but i suggest travel at a steady speed - ideally fast around 70mph - and see if the speedo is out compared to the GPS on your phone.... if its close enough dont worry. Normally the speedo under reads by about 5%

@@phoenixrider4004 This is 100% legit advice - of course make sure you phone is in handsfree mode - most satnav apps have the speed shown - like Waze etc

Hi you can buy each part separate or all as a kit ( £120 ) - the wheel wrench is PN LR044641 - about £20 on ebay !

Informative video but I must say I am delighted that RRS have relocated the spare tyre to the inside of the SUV. The former location outside and underneath the vehicle makes changing the spare an awkward process. Secondly a hydraulic jack is far faster to use. I wish Landrover included that type instead of the one shown here.

For what it’s worth now hydraulic jacks are faster but they can also fail and the vehicle will obey the laws of gravity and come crashing down . LR is wise to choose the mechanical scissor jack 👍🏽

I wouldnt put one 18" wheel with the other 22" ones. The diff and transferbox dosnt like it very much.

You didn't mention to keep the tailgate open, if you close it the car will try to level itself and messes up the suspension costing you big bucks.

powerfulukltd Not a problem, enjoyed a few of your videos. My friend learnt the hard way about not keeping the tailgate open, hes just had to folk out £3000 on new suspension lol
