Imagine you've been lost in the desert for 2 days without any water. Suddenly you come to a Cacti and right there, on the ground is a big canteen resting just in the shade of the cacti. You thank God and the Virgin Mary and before even coming close, In spite of your incredible thirst, you take to your knees to pray. Then you Move towards a canteen, you open it and there is no water. Bear your cross and follow Christ.. Jesus is great model of action to follow..But thoughts are above the level of Action.. You can begrudgingly follow Jesus, someone may be coersed into doing so.. These people won't get the same fulfillment as someone who willingly follow Christ.. So what I'm saying is there is merit in trying to understand thoughts and reality along with trying to bear your cross and follow Christ.. And this post isn't religious so a religious comment here is inappropriate.. A real follower of Christ might see that..
