idk if it can help you but i have a middle part with straight hair. I use no product, i literally let it air dry and use water a bit to make few adjustments. It's not as clean as some people online but it's very solid and got compliments when i changed to this style.

Tanning is significant on face, neck and arms compared to other body parts resulting in an uneven skin tone which may not look appealing to some.
