Great video, I noticed this video is 2 years old. Let me know if you are still out there. Thanks again.

Could you stick a hose of some type in the fill plug and pump out the old fluid?

Yes, you can do it that way. Search “don't forget the gear cj pony parts” for a video on how to do it. However, you won’t be able to remove any sludge like the guy in this video did.

I just did my bearing and axle seals. I was going to change the differential oil next. Why do the shafts have to be out aghh

@@andrescachu7907 just rewatched the video because I still haven’t attempted to drain and fill mine yet.

Wow, you know that this video took a while to make when your hair is noticeably 3 different lengths 😂.

Question, when you pull the half shafts out are they obvious how they go back in? Ive never seen it done so Im a bit hesitant to pull them out then get stuck somehow. I have a 66 f-100. The parts are almost all the same from 66 for the mustang and light trucks

One is longer than the other and they can only go in one way so it’s easy to line up

How did you remove the axle shaft?

Slide hammer and steering wheel puller if I remember correctly. Not hard at all, once you take the drum off you connect the puller to the slide hammer and after a few slides of the hammer they should slide right out. It would be a good time to check bearings and your axle seals as well.
