Figured out the 12 watt charger thing back in 2014. One iPad model maybe 3 or 4 came with the 12 watt charger, had one lying around and plugged it in to my phone and I was shocked at how quickly it was charging. I was even more shocked to find out that the 5 watt charger and the 12 watt charger cost the same at Apple stores. Even the employee didn't know.

Tricks to charge your iphone: literally Samsung phones come with a fast charger In the box and it takes 1 hour to get to 100%

That's because the iphone maximum power draw for fast charging is 18W for the current models. It was capped at 15W so no matter how much power the charger can output, it will still draw up to 18W of power. That was why the 29W was only slightly faster than the 12W

Fun fact: The charger included with an iPad is actually 10W, not 12W. You cannot buy the 10W unless you get an iPad.

No 5W chargers were harmed in the making of this video.

And you know what? Forget those 5 watt chargers. iPhone 12: And you know what? Forget the charger.

Just get a short cord. I have a short cord and it chargers insanely fast.

Apple also sells. 30 w charger for $30. Plus, fast charging can damage the battery and depending on the phone, limits the amount of charge coming in. Best to just use a stable battery

We are talking about total time here. She didn’t mention that pd can delivery 50% in 30min and then slows down. While other adapters charge phone in a relative constant speed. So in total it may not impressive but in short amount of the time, say I want to leave my house in half hour and I found out that my phone is nearly dead, I can use pd to give me 50% while other give only maybe 20-30%

Only Apple can get away with a $700+ smartphone while withholding fast charging technology for 4 years. Not only that, they omitted the two necessary accessories to enable the long awaited fast charging technology on the iPhone; Type-C to Lightning cable, 29W Apple Power Adapter,. And they aren't cheap. I have an Asus Zenfone that's worth $379 at 64GB, and it has QualComm's QuickCharge 3.0 built-in plus the USB to Type-C cable and a 10W charger. It charges the 3000mAh battery from 0% to 80% in only 60 minutes. But the real kings of fast charging are OPPO and OnePlus. OPPO was way ahead with its VOOC charging in 2014; 75% in 30 minutes. I'm not kidding. This was in 2014 and it can charge the Find 7's 3000mAh battery to 75% in 30 minutes!

or, just buy a Samsung galaxy s10 that costs about the same as your iPhone x, and charges much faster. just a suggestion
