Oh they have and everything they built came with 1 until about 10 years ago. When the car isn't easily serviced by the customer they make more money.

Hello, at minute 3:39 I see that the camera focuses to the right of the arrow on a piece of plastic, could you tell me what it is? my transmission is leaking oil through that space and I can't find any information, maybe you can help me, thanks!

THESE new cars are ALL junk, WHERE'S THE DANG DIP STICK, I DIDN'T HAVE A BLOWOUT, I JUS WANNA CHECK THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID, THIS IS DUMB THAT YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE WHEEL OFF THATS PRETTY DAMN STUPID, FORD MAKES YOU REMOVE THE WHEEL.,😫😳😵😵😫 THAT DIP STICK IS SUPPOSED TO BE ON THE FILLER CAP!!!!!

I'm a professional Master auto Mechanic and you are right. Vehicles from 1999 to now- have been getting increasingly worse- with few exceptions.

They want you to have to bring the vehicle to the shop to use their special tools. So they make it difficult to make more money off the consumer after the sale. My aunt has been lobbying to make the car makers stop this.

If I’m under the suspicion that my transmission in my 2015 is low, do I just do these steps and check if it drips out first before adding anything? Or just add and then let it drip till it slows down?

Yes , just follow the steps and open the plug. If it trickles or drips you are golden. Just make sure the vehicle is reasonably level. Thanks for the feedback.

There are so many different hex socket sizes for removing this plug. Many videos state a 10 mm hex but on my 2019 escape that size did not fit and I had to use a 3/8” hex. I don’t know why manufacturers complicate stuff. Just pick ONE size and stick with it.

The other thing you will notice is that with any of these cars with the common transmission or even engine failures , the demand goes up and the prices go through the roof. No reason the transmissions should be so expensive. I appreciate you taking the time to share , and thanks for watching.

@@s33therfan This is true, I called six different garages and the Ford dealership, some don't have the equipment to do the job, some charge 5-6,0000 to do the work. If I spend that much, it will be more than the value of the car.

I had a 2013 Escape SEL, trans went at 160K miles, "$4,896" to rebuild, I really had no choice, fortunately I had, I emphasize "I HAD" the $$$, but to this day I still am recovering from that repair bill (happened in March 2022)...
