You know there are so many videos of these devices out there and here we have yet another one. The thing that nobody ever does with these is compare it with a Tech2 to see how reliable they are. I have always heard that the Tech2 scanner is the best for these trucks and pretty much the only reliable scanner for LLY trucks. And as someone who has a OBD2 Bluetooth dongle and using Torque Pro and have a Snap On Solus scanner and both give VERY different readings. I feel like all these devices are just another way for someone to go down a rabbit hole when an issue may not be an issue.

I just changed out my turbo on my 2006 lbz, now I need to relearn the system, which scan tool will do the process. There's so many out there, different brands, but it's almost impossible to find out if they will do this part of the job. Thanks Jerry by the way I really appreciate your channel

Will this unit calibrate new NOx sensors to the main computer on an LML? According to a GM dealer the NOx sensors have to be calibrated to main computer, and then a forced regen is required. I had both of my sensors replaced by a GM dealer to the tune of $1600 plus last year. I could have purchase the parts for about $500. I had no way of doing the calibration. I'm hoping a tool like this can save my wallet, or someone else's, should it happen again.

I just picked this scanner up because of this video. When I connect it, turn the switch on, it’s not reading the connection, it’s telling me to connect the cable. 2002 Duramax.

I bought one last week from an Amazon flash sale. I'm just a weekend warrior but I feel that the biggest advantage to this scanner is the value, not advanced features. It's not intuitive to use at all. It's gonna take a lot of time tinkering and valuable videos like this one to figure this thing out. At the moment I'm thinking about returning it because it only sees 2 out of 4 O2 sensors on my 04 Trailblazer. Maybe the more advanced ArtiDiag 800bt is a better choice at $418 currently. It's has more diagnostic features and a Bluetooth OBD2 connector. Looks like the same non-intuitive interface though.

I buy this scanner but I have a question can you change the rates for the injector with this scanner ? Or is only to see the rates of all of them ? I see the injector #1 is 3.68 all other are -1.03 .. also my truck is vibrating on parking ..petty sure the injectors issue.. any suggestions?

The Artidiag 800BT does injector coding but you not for all models. That’s the one I got It’s a mid level scanner but does not do bi directional It has 28 service functions and reads all modules Plus live data It’s blue tooth so it’s a wireless connection It has Wi-Fi plus a web browser and camera You can also record live data and take screen shots It cost about 375.00 with the 30 coupon on Amazon Also it’s free lifetime updates No future charges ever. I’m very impressed with it and what it can do.

Thanks for the info but FYI- I ordered the exact same unit from your link. The menus are different but I did find the balance rates. All of them read .8 with no fluctuations. I’m sure this isn’t right- especially since I have a dead miss on cylinder 5. Any insight? I have the 2014 LML.

check the injector connector and the O rings on the injector. Silicone new Orings well and re-insert injectors. High pressure fuel line and low pressure fuel line....careful with them and their washers. You may have to replace if you don't get a good seal upon re-assembly. I is always recommended to replace the high pressure line going to injector replaced and the the low pressure fuel rail anytime you replace an injector or apply fresh Orings to injector. Do a smoke test on injector to check for leaks around Orings. Or you could have a clogged injector and this will not show up on the smoke test. If it were me, I would replace injector connector with new one (OEM) and see if you still get dead miss on no. 5.

@@caseihfarmer5231 I have a 2001 LB7, replaced all 8 injectors in July 2021. I did not code the injectors before installation as I didn't have a reader with coding capabilities at the time. It's my daily driver and I haven't had any injector/fuel issues with not coding them to date. I should've written the injector numbers down and coincided them with which cylinder they were installed so I could come back and code them at a later date but unfortunately, I didn't. I wish I had now though because I have a reader that can. In Sept. 2021 I bought me the Launch CR 909 reader, Truck master has a video where he's using the Launch CR 909 to read his balance rates on one of his Duramax's. It was that video that turned me onto the Launch CR909 from all the rest after doing some fairly extensive research on code readers and their capabilities. The Launch CR 909 does have the capability to code injectors as well as an extreme assortment of other capabilities from Oil reset to Gear Learning and many others that I'll never use. It also reads Transmission DTC codes as well as other codes. 3 days ago my abs warning lamp started coming on intermittingly while driving. I hooked up the Launch CR909 to see if it could tell me why the abs light was coming on. The 909 reader gave me 2 codes, 1) C0223- Right front wheel speed signal erratic and 2) Right front wheel speed sensor circuit open. I would point you in the direction of looking at the Launch CR 909 reader to start, I'm thoroughly impressed with mine, it'll read any car, gas or diesel, as long as it has an OBDII port, from current date back to 1996. It's the only reader I've owned so I can't really speak for the others out there. Hope this helps. All in all though, yes you need to code your new injectors with your 2015, that way the computer will know the injectors are new, otherwise it'll continue to operate the new injectors as if the old ones are still installed. I might buy one I found an 04 Duramax 4x4 and am interested in it but the injectors it has worry me lol I'm recovering from my house fire I lost everything I own so it would be a tragic deal for me if they are bad

It's not something on a scanner fully you unhook your return lines and measure the amount of return for 15 seconds with the pump maxed with a scan tool
