I have a 2007 Toyota Prius. This sequence only occasionally results in the diagnostic display, and then reverts back before I have completed the sequence. Most of the time, it brings up the "Energy Monitor" screen.

Its not the hybrid battery its the 12volt battery you see. Hybrid battery is 400volts

Yes when you test drive the vehicle you are testing the 12 V not the hybrid

So how do you check the hybrid battery?

That’s what I’m trying to figure out as well. You may have to plug an OBD scanner into it

The vehicle drive display (the one showing the motor recharging battery) is identical to my Lexus 400h. I wonder if the process is that same. Any one that I’ve found so far are for a newer model with push button start or for non-hybrid. I think I’m going to try this and see.

I'm still using my original 12V battery. Want to know why? I connected a solar panel to it! It's charged every day by the sun. Thanks for sharing this information. I'll subscribe to your channel!
