Hi, quick video on how to check Oil and Fluids in 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 Honda Accord. Motor oil, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, coolant and windshield washer fluid. Basic Maintenance

I have exact same car and they told me it is recommended that I should do a change in Power steering fluid from Pepboys. They say I have to bring it to them now or later. I decided to check it out and come across in this video and this video proves to me that these kind of cars DO NOT HAVE A power steering fluid to maintain because these kind of cars have ELECTRIC POWER STEERING. Therefore I do not need to do that repair job. Beware on those kind of shops that will tell you, you have to do this and that. Research it first and see if it actually applies to your car. This can save your money from those kind of crooks. Thank you very much for this video 👍🏻

I miss having power steering fluid to check as a first resort. Much easier/cheaper part to fix. Much easier to become aware of, (generally before you wreck the pump). The entire cars were easier, due to the damn electronics. One kink in one wire can make us have to pull the entire dash ---- and way more from there. Digital (electrical) is awesome...(but not when it messes up the major motor & transmission).

Good info. Regard the freon. I took my car to dealer after hot air blowing into car. Almost $200 just to look at it with $850 quote to replace the lines claiming a leak without even checking. Do yourself a favor, get a good/honest mechanic or buy the right parts and do yourself.

There is no dipstick for CVT in this model

According to Ford sealed transmissions you don't check the fluid. CVT is a disposable transmission that can't be repaired only replaced.

you don't, you just need to change the transmission fluid every 25,000 or 30,000 miles if you have a honda accord from 2013 to 2020 with a CVT automatic transmission.

Valvoline cvt transmission fluid . It says cvt on the container. Autozone gave me automatic transmission, so make sure it is cvt on the container.

@@christhedoc8689 For the manual transmission sure. Otherwise CVT fluid can be changed anywhere between 45,000-100,000 miles without a problem as listed on various Honda service websites.

2013 is paid off. Everytime, I go to the Honda for a oil change. I am being told something needs to be repaired at the dealership. Why? How often do you need these service after oil change? He said, I need the rotors, but they were resurfaced and brake pads. I believe I had this done last year. He said, I need $800 more work on the car. Do you think I am been con on this? The Honda Paperwork said, Air Filter is red. He said, Do you worry about it.

When i park my car. Theres no oil when i lift the long thing to check oil. But when i start my car. And i go check. I pull the the thing. It shows i have a lot. Why??? Car giving me sign that i have to do oil change too

Because oil starts to flow all over engine and gets on dipstick. Let the car cool down 20 min.. check oil. And add if you have to.

These cars are known to consume some oil so check your oil regularly
