Thanks for your review of headsets. I am a dance teacher & tired of yelling to be heard.,can you do a video on speakers that you use with you headset? Do you have a separate speaker for music or use the same one for music & instruction?

Do you know if you can connect the AKG headset to the rode wireless go? I read in your comments that you use yours with a lavalier, but I wanted to use AKG headset if there's a way to connect the two. Thank you again for the video. It was very helpful! 👍🏾 🙂

Hi Justin, unfortunately not, those are two separate systems. I use the Rode Wireless go to teach online, with a lavalier mic, it’s almost not visible when I’m teaching online, the output on the wireless go is a mini jack, I plug it directly on the computer. I use the AKG to teach in gyms, the output is either an XLR plug or a jack that connects directly into sound systems at gyms. Hope this can help.

If the mic is on the instructor's head, how do you stream in the music?

Hi, if you are talking about online streaming like Facebook Live you need to have a more complete setup, it also depends if you are streaming from your phone or from your computer, if you stream from your phone the mic used will be the one of the phone, so using a mic headset will not help you, it can actually play against you, you should simply not use any mic and have your phone quite close to you, and the music would be either playing on your phone or be playing in a loudspeaker close to the phone as well so the mic picks it up. Now if you are streaming from a computer you can of course play the music directly from the computer music app you use, and you could plugin a mic to the computer to have your voice over the music, now these headset are not the best appropriate unless you have an adapter to the jack input of your computer. Having a mixing table is also an option, then you mix the mic voice and the music into one single output that you would use as the input of your streaming, either your phone with an input jack adapter, or your computer also with a jack adapter. I'm building a new presentaion and video on how to do streaming, stay tuned.

Hi Jimmy, I will answer in English so everyone can get it, these type of mic headset connect to a base, usually the output channels you have on the base are XLR and Big Jack, to be able to connect this mic to a computer, phone or sono amp you need a specific cable, to connect to a sono amp you can use an XLR to XLR cable or XLR to Jack, to plug it in into your computer you need to go mini jack, so you would need an XLR to mini jack or Jack to mini jack cable. Now there is a but, if you plugin the mic into your phone or your computer your voice will be the main and only audio source on your video, so if you are teaching without music that will be fine, now if you are using music as well you cannot just send your mic audio as the input, you would need a double audio in to mix both your voice and the music. There are tools and techniques to do this, either you connect the mic and music output to a sono amp, you mix both and only one audio cable comes out of that and enters either your phone or your computer. But you also have double input mini jack adapters that you can plugin into your computer or phone. Iphones of the new generation do not have an audio jack anymore so you need a specific adapter to do that. What you can also do is to use streaming software, there's a free open source tool called OBS studio, then you can better manage your inputs and outputs and make sure you have great music audio, great voice audio and great image. But you can also start really easy and it will work , just use your phone, not far from you so it picks up your voice, do not use a mic, and use a loudpseaker stronger than your computer loudspeaker maybe a bluetooth speaker, and place it close to your phone, your music and voice should be fine. I'm creating new content on how to do live streaming, and what mistales to avoid, stay tuned.

Thanks you for your fantastic response:-) I m happy to hear that wireless mic work without an additional pre amp I m considering these 2 possibilities to mix different source ( music and microphone ): a streaming mixer or audio sound card. These 2 possibilities work differently The streaming mixer need a lap top to work! The audio sound card can be use with out laptop, just plug in the mic by xlr, and a music from our source by mini Jack, then mix the signal together and record directly on the phone, lap top,or camera! Actually, I m trying to do my job of personal trainer online, that's why I m looking for the best possibilities Thanks you for your response, it's always a pleasure to learn:-)

@@cosmicxxx8066 for my lives I invested a bit more, I use a lavalier mic together with a rode wireless transmitter receiver (works quite the same as a headset mic, but it's smaller, it uses jack connectors rather than XLR. I tried many options, if using the phone to do a live, I also acquired a Rode SC6 (it has 2 input jack for mic or audio source, and one output for headphones, then I use a TRRS female jack to lightning cable to connect to iphone 11, this mixes the mic voice with an audio (music) input through a jack as well. When I use the laptop then I use a streaming software called OBS Studio, this tool allows to grab the desktop audio (iTunes music or mixmeister or any other music source), and I plugin my external lavalier mic (using the rode wireless system so I don't have to be close to the computer) though a usb-c (mac) sound card featuring a female trrs jack (this way I don't use the audio jack of the computer or else it redirects the audio to that jack). This works perfectly as it streams the music audio directly through the internal audio, and mixes with my external mac as a new input source. To monitor the music, (or else only your streamers will listen to it) I use bluetooth headphones so I can hear the music without any mic interference, if you monitor your music on the loudspeakers and the mic is sensitive it will replay the music through the mic as well. In OBS Studio you need to specify then to monitor and output the music and specify the bluetooth headphones to be the default output of the computer. This works like a charm, it sounds complex but the result is amazing. Also, it's great to know you want to pursue this live streaming in your business, Just to let you know that I am developing an instructor app called TINA (The Instructor's APP) and we are now developing the live, replay and online functionalities, allowing you to decide who can see your lives and recordings for free and who needs to pay, if you have pay content you will get paid for that of course, it's great to do lives but your recorded content should pay out while you sleep. It's not there yet but we expect to have it online on the next 3 weeks, you can already try out the app links to ios and android on tin-a.com

Thanks, that’s a good try but my company is not called Passion for Fitness but Passion Fitness and it’s a registered company in Belgium it’s not a brand
