24:29 The J-Vlogger, "Micaela in Japan" says that she loves Fukuoka because there is an airport there that takes you to South Korea, Taiwan, and I think some other countries and it's super fast and cheap. Maybe if some of you are deciding which school to choose that could help you choose. If you are just there to travel and have an extended vacation essentially that might be a good choice because on your days off you can go to other countries for a weekend and then go back to japan to study.

I already knew from myself that i did not wanted to live in tokyo because i was sure the amount of people around me would stress me out. So then i was in a debate with myself rather i should go to Osaka, Kyoto or Fukuoka. I compared the schools that i really wanted to(ECC kokusai osaka campus), ARC academy Kyoto or FFLC. After i read what the schools offer on your side then i realized that Kyoto wasn't the best for me. Then it was a huge fight in between ECC Kokusai osaka and FFLC. Because i wanted a work visa after the Japanese lesrning program. But then i realized... OH NOOOO YOU CAN ONLY APPLY FOR APRIL IN FFLC FOR THE WORK VISA(April isn't suitable for me because i don't have my college diplom yet and the exams in the netherlands always start mid May. So that meant if i'd apply for the April term i had to mis the exams..) so that's why FFLC wasn't a great option for me either.. so there was only one option left and that was ECC Kokusai in osaka. I read on your website that you can also get a work visa after the 2 year program at the school and you can go either in October or April which is great! And also what the school offers is absolutely amazing!! And it's also located in my favourite area of Osaka!😃 this video was also helpful thank you!🙏

I understand that there are some countries which you guys dont prefer as per the mofa list but there are schools in your website that accepts countries like India. If you can make a feature in which we can shortlist school that accepts students outside the mofa list , that would be really helpful. Its really hard to go school by school and mailing them. I hope you look forward to this suggestion.

Hello! My plan is to go to language school in Tokyo, then get a job hopefully. I have to questions: 1) Is it even possible to get a job enough to make a living in Japan directly after language school, or do I need a degree? 2) I've tried to learn Japanese on my own for a while, but is not going well heh.. Should I go for a short language school for 2 weeks or something, or do they teach everything from zero? Want to study Japanese probably 2-3 years. Any tips or recommendation on what to do?
@GoGoNihonGo
@GoGoNihonGo 4 жыл бұрын
Hi thanks for your questions! Regarding your first question, it's extremely difficult to get a work visa for Japan if you do not have a university degree or several years of working experience in a particular field of work. For those who have a degree/lots of work experience, it is definitely possibly to make a living in Japan. For your second question, it can be difficult learning Japanese on your own, for sure! If you are serious about living and working in Japan in the future, we highly recommend you commit to studying the language first at a language school from the beginning. To get your skills to a working level from beginner level takes about 2 years of full-time study. If you have more questions, please feel free to contact us through our website and one of our team will be glad to help you! gogonihon.com/en/#ContactForm

Hello! Thanks for your comment. You will need to attend a Japanese language school for a couple of years full-time before applying for a university in Japan. This will ensure you get to the language level required in order to apply and sit the required exam for foreign students. Our schools all offer courses that take students from beginner to advanced, so it will just depend on where in Japan you would like to study. Please send us an email for more information! gogonihon.com/en/#ContactForm

Do you help with schools outside of your recommendations as well? And also I'm curious about the courses that some schools offer. My goal it probably to study for 24 months if I can. And as I understand things that's the maximum I can get a visa for. But some schools seem to have 3 times 9 month courses making the whole process take 27 months. Can you shed some light on how that works? Thanks!

Our free support service is only for schools we partner with. The reason is that we spent a lot of time visiting schools all over Japan and selecting what we believe are the best places to study. Also, we keep constantly in contact with our partner schools, asking feedback to students, checking their teaching method changes to make sure they have the minimum quality requirement to be on our site. The good relation we have with those schools helps also in the application process, since usually we can reserve spots for our students in advance (even if the school usually gets full), we have a very smooth and online application process, etc.

I apologize for misunderstanding your question! There are few schools that we partner with and are not on the site yet, maybe because we are working on the video/web page or for some other reasons we didn't make the web page but we can offer our free support service. As someone who wants to not only continue my education in Japan, but who also wants to work and live the after, are there any types of language schools I should be looking for? Should I focus on learning Japanese that is suited for academics and other formal situations first, or that's more geared towards everyday life?
@GoGoNihonGo
@GoGoNihonGo 5 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Good question. You would probably want to look at choosing a higher intensity school, so you can gain those Japanese language skills (hopefully) faster. But it really depends on how you learn, how much time you want to devote to studying vs free time, etc. Once you have the fundamental grammar etc, you can look at developing your skills for specific purposes through business Japanese courses, for example, if that's what you want to learn. Just as important as language skills, though, is a university degree - it's near impossible to find a full-time job and get a work visa without at least a Bachelor's degree. Hi Hameer, thanks for your comment! To be honest, N2 is pretty good already for working in Japan. However, if you would like to work towards your N1, we recommend Akamonkai and ISI. You can find more information about those schools on our website: gogonihon.com/en/language-schools/

@GoGoNihonGo
@GoGoNihonGo 6 жыл бұрын
Yes, job-hunting is extremely hard if you're not in the country! Akamonkai offers support in finding full-time employment - it's not a program per se, but they do help you prepare for interviews and teach you the Japanese skills required to enter the workforce here. It's a school that we recommend for students who are serious about mastering Japanese and who want to move onto higher education or full-time employment.

That's an impressive collection of languages! You've still got a few years to go before you can come to Japan to study (you need to be 18+), but in terms of schools, it all really depends on your personal goals and how much time you want to devote to studying Japanese. Take a look at our range of schools on our website and please feel free to contact us via our contact form with any questions and one of our student coordinators will get back to you: gogonihon.com/en/language-schools/

You are only able to apply to 1 school because the school application is linked to a visa application. We are usually able to tell you right away if you meet the school's requirements or not so don't worry!

I would like to study there soon. But i am currently employed here in China but my work is pure remote so i can go to japan and study japanese and work during night time with my laptop. The long term plan is study there and after studying find an IT job because i currently work at Dell. The only complications i can think of right now is about my working visa here, can it affect my student visa application with JP..?

Hi, in order to be able to work in Japan, you'd need a work visa.The main requirement for this visa is a Bachelor's degree or 5-10 years of relevant experience in the field you'd be working in. If you want to only work part time, you are allowed 28h a week with a student visa while you attend language school.

You go to Kai? How do you find the level, like how much hours do you need to spend studying to keep up?
@GoGoNihonGo
@GoGoNihonGo 7 жыл бұрын
Yes! Haley here :) I've just completed my first level at KAI which was about a 2.5-month course. I had studied some Japanese in the past, so I entered in at Level 2 out of the 8 that KAI offers. I think that for me personally, Level 2 was perfect! And that was determined by a level-check test that they offer before you arrive in Japan. As far as the amount of study, it really depends on which level you're in, how much Japanese you already know, your personal study habits, etc but KAI generally recommends about 2 hours of outside study per day :)

Ah, thanks for clarifying. It's hard to say whether language school in Japan or outside Japan is better, but of course if you're actually in Japan you get to live in an environment where you can practice using the language. This should, hopefully, help you improve faster How good is your Japanese right now? Can you have basic conversation, express your thoughts, read kanji, etc?

Akamonkai just told me 'we don't need a Pakistani student' .. and, 'the reason for rejection is just Nationality' .. how racist is that
@GoGoNihonGo
@GoGoNihonGo 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Hameer, we're sorry to hear about your experience! It's true that nationality can play a role with schools accepting students due to Japan's strict immigration policies and a more complicated procedure for those not on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Japan's visa exemption list (www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/short/novisa.html). However, there are other Japanese language schools that may accept you and we encourage you to get in touch with other schools!

Go! Go! Nihon Live & Study in Japan it is weird to presume someone WILL NOT get their visa, and deny them service based on that presumption.. When it comes to the bad countries, a good travel record to the first world and back is what sets u apart, I've been to JP before, got my visa in a week, I go to US this friday (I go back and forth every year) and have a long-term visa which unbelievably took 5 days to get :') ... the visa people are so much nicer than you think, and I was just shocked how 1900s was Akamonkai.. It was the same thing, oh you black? we'll assume things about you, turn u down, laugh at you, but u are free to get service elsewhere so keep walking..
@GoGoNihonGo
@GoGoNihonGo 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Hameer, we hear what you're saying and thank you for voicing your concerns. We can't speak on behalf of Akamonkai, but in terms of our own services, of course we would love to help people from all countries with their student visa applications to Japan. We don't judge people for where they come from and certainly not their skin colour. The reality is that long-term visa applications from some countries do unfortunately in the vast majority of cases take an inordinate amount of resources and time - much more than we are able to offer right now sadly and that's why we adhere to the MOFA Japan visa exemption list.

in these videos there is a notorious stalker named graham who stalks everyone. he respects nothing, neither the opinions of others, nor their experiences, nor their tranquility! he imposes his experiences and he doesn't care what others think, he continues to harass everyone, he recounts his life which nobody cares about, he makes insulting remarks on those who have the right to leave some negativity, especially after a bad experience in Japan. it's not because he's a teacher that everyone should listen to him, that everyone should spend 50 years learning a language! he responds to the comments that we make to others and he repeat the words like a creepy parrot, he is overly obsessed at the fact to responsing to people who asked nothingh! he tyrannizes everyone while it's our right to post negative comments! and when he says to everyone they should go to japan he speaks like a cult leader! when he don't talk like a school bully! it would be nice if someone reports him, because he is far from being a good person!

If you can make a feature in which we can shortlist school that accepts students outside the mofa list , that would be really helpful. Its really hard to go school by school and mailing them. I hope you look forward to this suggestion.
