Once again, Dr. Guy, you have given me hope. I first found your videos when I was at the five year mark of my thesis and shortly after I bought "The Dissertation Warrior" book, which was invaluable. However, there was just too much disaster happening within my thesis (and my life - those two things may have been related!) and I withdrew from my PhD. I have had just over a year off, and have recently reopened the dissertation door - determined to finish! Your words make so much sense. Having just watched this video, I finally understand what a theoretical framework actually is - how has this taken me so long?!! Anyway, I get the feeling you will be a significant part of my efforts to finish this thing - which I aim to do by the end of this year. Thank you for providing such awesome information.

Seeing your video create a miniature route out of the deep water I found myself. I wondered what I would have done with the volume of literature before me, reading without clear objectives. I felt something was missing when I read because there were no clear objectives or a guide. Thank you another fantastic and helpful guide- I'm about to do my Masters dissertation and was stuck on how to choose and go about identifying a TF but this has really helped me. You really are able to approach the questions from the students perspective which is amazing.

The problem started when my supervisors told me that my written literature reviews sounds like research context and I need to build my literature review through my theoretical framework.
