Yes, Curly, I think you are right. I am always working to improve my video productions. I do all the shooting and editing myself. Balancing sound is something that has been a challenge for me, but hopefully, it is better on some of my more recent videos. Please check them out and let me know what you think. Hi Kim, I just had a question and was hoping to get your advice. There’s a vintage teapot from the 1940s on eBay that I want very badly but it has crazing on the inside of the teapot. If I got it, would it be safe to use? I’be heard that lead can seep out of the crazing and end up in the tea but others say that’s just paranoia. Should I avoid it?

Hi Amy. If a teapot or teacup is being purchased for display purposes only then a bit of crazing might not be a big deal for many collectors. However, if the teapot or teacup is going to be actually used to hold tea (or other liquids) on a regular basis then I would not recommend purchasing one with crazing. The liquids could seep into the tiny superficial cracks weakening the piece and some of the materials used in creating the piece might also potentially leach into the tea. How do you know if there truly is a toxic surface on the tea cup?

Hi Sharissa. If a teacup or teapot has the words "for decorative use only" or "do not use for food or drink" or something like that, then it most certainly has some kind of toxic substance in the finishes- often it is lead. Thanks for watching.
