Great podcast! My main takeaways are: - The better people get at something the more they enjoy it. - Understanding concepts in live poker in more valuable than online since you frequently find yourself in situations you haven't studied like multiway pots and people are extremely exploitable. - "Getting coaching is not betting on the coach it is betting on yourself to grow through listening to someone else and getting an other outside perspective that you value and gave authority to if you can't give other people authority you're just like delusional and not malleable". - "If you're currently in an environment where it feels it's really really tough to win even though you're giving it your all you're probably not the problem it is the environment you chose that is the problem."

Hey Fernando, I've followed your career from afar for a while here and there. If you read this imo you've turned yourself into a truly effective genuine communicator and an altogether admirable person, well played and gg!

My main takeaway is to approach poker as a whole with a zoomed out perspective. For instance at my casino live game the other day a local home game runner sat to my left and I made it a point of mine to be a bit more free flowing as long as he was there (faster play, energetic demeanor, straddling, running it once, etc). I'd like to think my EV is higher for getting into other games in the future if they need a seat filled, because even though they understand I'm a winning reg at least I'll be the winning reg they'd rather choose for their game over another player similar to me.

This guy really knows what he is talking about. It's a huge lesson for everybody, specially for Rene. Even though at the end of the day, most of us don't have the money base or the courage to follow this appetising guide.

@23:10 - "Their smartness was in their way". Thank you Jnandez for describing me perfectly lol. In all seriousness, since better than average performance in virtually all subjects came easy to me... the discipline to reach the highest level has always been a struggle for me. Reminds me of: "Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard."

Big fan Fernando! You are able to distill your thoughts into very effective language, rather than showing off vocabulary to seem smart. I just came from a painful S4Y podcast and those guys are basically dressing up to look like somebody who might be mistaken as somebody actually on your level. Not trying to start anything lol just pointing out that you are the real deal and have earned your role-model-status.

There's no plo solver for free... I guess there's only one and is very expensive... so if you play low stakes you will have to solve it all by yourself... maybe that's a good thing since your opponents won't have it too!!
