i've got a (short) square face and side bangs- i wound up choosing it because having that 60-40 part would help bring asymmetry to my overall face shape and put less focus on how square my face actually is. i hadn't considered your comment about why side bangs work well for short faces, but these two bits of information together really help explain why side bangs work for me!

My face shape is also short and square but I have sharp features like jawline and eyes. I tried both soft full bangs and side bangs. Overall Side bangs definitely made me look really mature and suited really well with my face, it is also easier to style but I still sometimes preferred my soft bangs era because it's just something I liked and I looked great in that too which made me look Japanese

this is so accurate bro I wish I saw this before experimenting with the length if my see thru bangs tol I realised my strong jaw makes side bangs look way better 😭 I was even startled by one of the examples u put for "why they look good on you" bc I haven't seen someone w my exact face shape before

Happy to find out my full soft bangs are the right choice for me. I have a noticeably long face, but not a long forehead. I've had no bangs (which looked terrible, especially with my M shape hairline which then makes me look like I have bald spots in my hairline) and side bangs before but really have preferred looking back at photos with my full bangs. Imma keep them :)

I have a lot of thick hair and they do sort of a swirl at the front left part, so it's always side bangs for me. Not mad, though, it looks "natural French chic" somehow! But I would have liked to try the see-through bangs as I think they'd complement my face and eyes

I love blunt cut straight down bangs, so I was a bit sad to hear that straight blunt cut isn't good for my square jaw face, but at least I am glad that the more arched shaped blunt bangs should still be good (plus the side bangs that I cannot be without). I feel like the side bangs would benefit me more if I didn't wear glasses though, since the glasses push the side bangs away from my cheekbones. But I still love the sidebangs regardless, they still help to soften my face overall and feel less naked when I have an updo.

So my face is longer with a wide and long forehead and quite long middle face but not as long as forehead, and it's narrow. Like a rounded rectangle. Also my best part are my eyes. So I decided to opt for soft bangs but make them rounded.

I tried wing with full bangs and soft bangs and they made me look worse, i had choppy bangs but its hard to style and leaves the sides open. i have a larger forehead so people told me to get bangs but my face is also wide and i have high cheekbones. If i cover the sides my forehead looks large, if i cover the top my face looks wide. I get shorter side cuts just not bangs, i asked for a shorter butterfly cut
