Natural granite countertops do require sealing.

Excellent video. I plan to feature it in one of my upcoming videos on my KZfaq channel. I'll let you know when I do. The only thing missing is, you didn't seem to cover the reselling value. What do homebuyers think of these surfaces? For example, even though MARBLE is expensive and has high maintenance, maybe homebuyers fall over backward to see a kitchen in marble. I don't have a clue. But you did a great video. I just shared it with a friend. Thanks!

!?!???!? Why would you say granite requires no sealing?! Everything I've watched, until this video, said that granite requires sealing and considering that it's a stone, that makes sense. Stone is porus so I don't know how it wouldn't require sealing in some capacity.

I agree. Although it's not required I can't imagine not sealing it. I think they should have included the caveat that it's better to seal it. "Most granite is very stain resistant and does not “require” sealing. However, sealing is an added precaution, and many fabricators and installers do recommend it. Quality Granite & Marble typically makes this determination, and applies sealer when needed."

Granite needs sealing. Also if I'm not mistaken Quartz does not require resealing.

also if you say resistant, it doesnt mean complete immunity, even quartz and granite crack when you put boiling oil and pan on it

A lot of wrong information here, granite absolutely requires sealing. Also you were talking about marble but showed a Quartz countertop...

$5 per sq ft for laminate where?? The best prices I could find are $20-$60 per sq ft installed. Not sure where you source your data.

You didn't mention at all how porous concrete is and that it needs to be sealed. I think you have more then a couple facts mixed up.

John, she did say "They're stain, heat and water resistant when sealed." This video is obviously an overview and not a comprehensive one.
