Great video. I have one of the more compact Android tablets a Samsung Galaxy Tab Active3 running Android 13. The audio levels are very low again when cast to a TV. Close to 10dB low.

Can you please explain in more detail the 12v charging device you mentioned. I have only seen 2.4amp usb charging rates, I think you mentioned 3. something amp. Cheers.

Look out for the higher capacity chargers - readily available in stores, check out JBHifi etc.

Excellent video, can you explain the bluetooth Garmin GPS device a bit more as power drain from continious offline GPS use is an issue on a motorcycle where extra charging capacity from the bikes electrical system is limited and where heat is a major factor as it is where I am. And for everyone out there if you ever have an issue with the App Michelle is extremely patient when dealing with tech neanderthals like myself.

After watching the video a couple more times and taking on board the info you explained I guess there is one question that springs to mind and one comment/suggestion. The qusetion is can you use a Bluetooth GPS unit to boost the GPS aquisition/performance of a tablet/phone that has GPS (with the resultant benifits of less power draw and heat for the device)? And my comment/suggestion is maybe it is worthwhile doing a short video on these Bluetooth GPS devices explaing their functionality and benifits as you did mention in the video that you wished you had of had one there with to to show us. And by the way you both do a good balance of tech head V laymans....not an easy gig.@@ExplorOz-Traveller

@@user-ey1yg9le7p have you tried Googling for some articles or searching KZfaq? The bluetooth GPS receiver technology has been around for almost 10 years so there should be lots if online resources that will cover your queries.

Yes I have which is why I guess I was asking for your thoughts because after looking at You Tube and other reviews I was left with the impression that they had a short life span sitting on the dash in the sun all the time even if they were covered up as you did with yours....was that your experience??@@ExplorOz-Traveller

Happy to go an external bluetooth GPS like Garmin to add to an Android tablet 10 inch but still confused re specs needed like storage size, RAM, ROM, CPU, Android version and GPU to use your mapping software. At present a current member using it on my old Windows 10 PC with latest downloads and maps from you guys but need to move to tablet. Is wifi an advantage on device. If $1000 required, fine. Something like Samsung Tab S9?

Hi Steve if you buy an Android tablet like the S9 then it will have the GPS receiver built in - no need to buy or connect to an external GPS receiver such as the Garmin Glo - these are only needed for devices without built in GPS (ie Windows devices and Wifi only iPads.) There are no specific specs required for the app to run on as all modern devices are well speced just you will get better performance (faster screen response , less crashing, etc) when you buy a BETTER spec device - ie spend more money. In the Samsung range the S model tablets have better specs and performance than the A model tablets. With Apple iPads they dont make different spec iPads other than size, storage and with/without SIM card and GPS. Hope this helps. Good stuff again Michelle & David and I'll say it again you pair continue to do hard yakka, and, produce results - so I kick started my Samsung android tablet to check out a couple of bits and I found a recent local trek I did earlier in NOV on my mob (which I deleted/lost) guessed wild card date range and there it was. 2330hrs but I'm still going to crack a can! 😀😀😀

Some good advise however, hard to listen too. Talking over each other, contradicting each other, and too cynical about every manufacturer of any IT equipment. Would have been nice to see some graphics of what your talking about.
