When I first built my home theater, the first piece I got, which was a must have and I still own after changing things out many times (on projector #3), has been my Stewart Studiotek 130 Screen. I've owned my 100" Stewart Screen for 25 years.

Do they offer easily removable masking panels for 16x9 screens, to make them 2.4:1 for watching scope movies?

Hey I was wondering what type screen would be best for a dark basement. If alr is still the best that's fine, but if light isn't an issue is an alr neccessary

Best would be a pure matte white 1.0 gain (SnoMatte 100/StudioTek 100) (basically if you have sufficient Lumen projector(anything above 3000 on 120-150" should be ok ).

Excellent video, with very useful information. Agree completely with the ST130-G4 material being optimal for most theater situations. That's probably going to be my next theater upgrade.

I always wondered if the Stewart Filmscreen price/performance difference is worth the extra thousands of dollars when compared to more affordable options like Elite and Silver Ticket. Also "Made in China" isn't always a bad thing, as we know some good speakers, AVRs, Amps etc. are made in China and yet perform very well.
